The whole thing is one big crap shoot. 😢

My own (unintentional) pun just occurred to me! Duhhh. Yeah, we agree there!! Shot with crapolalalah...! Wishin' it had turned otherwise for us! 😂 Hey, when you feel like cryin', what 'cha gonna doo?! 🥴

@gspw No I didn't go for the 2nd shot because I'm afraid that my side effects will be worse than what I experienced. I am not willing to be permanently disabled as I am the sole breadwinner in the family.

Hey! I feel like I am experiencing something very similar to yours. I got my first shot (Pfizer) on May 6th and started to feel brain fog on the 3rd day after the shot. I felt slight soreness for the first two days but nothing else like chills, fever, etc. I've been with the symptoms for about 5 weeks now. Brain fog is a vague term to really describe the symptoms I'm experiencing, but at the same time, the symptoms I'm experiencing are strange and hard to accurately describe in words. I don't feel any dizziness or vestibular-related issues, just a generally foggyness or cloudiness in my head. I too don't feel like myself when my symptoms are bad, but sometimes they get better. I do have to say that overall I do think there has been an improvement because I know for a fact that I am generally more sensitive to sensations in general than I was a couple weeks ago. There are also good days and bad days, and within a day, there are waves of good and bad that comes and goes randomly.

I've tried ibuprofen but don't really know if they helped. Sometimes I got better and sometimes didn't. I'm taking multivitamins, fish oil, and turmeric as supplements. I found from a post on this forum that Zyrtec or Benadryl helped for someone (this person did post updates -- her user name is Wynn m; this is her profile https://vestibular.org/forum/profile/wynnwolter/), so I'm thinking of trying that out. I've seen a doctor, but as you might have expected, wasn't really much help. He only said to wait it out and not get the second shot (which was surprising because I thought doctors would really push getting vaccinated and regardless of the side effects). I'm not sure if I'll get the second shot as the first shot is affecting me so much. I am very positive that things will get better and only time will be the ultimate solution to this. But it is very difficult living with this brain fog day by day and getting anxious all the time. Hope you get better soon! And I will be sure to update once in a while especially if I feel better!

@nawpan yup!  Not as intense, but head pressure, super mild dizziness - but really I think it’s head pressure. I’m also having neck soreness and anxiety. How are you?

Mild dizziness, numbness tingling pins and needles.  Sometime my legs are tired but no issue with walking or running.  Getting up stairs makes me tired.

Still have a heavy head and slight dizziness. But I can still hear my heart thump, even though I'll check and it may not be beating particularly fast. Super weird.

That’s such a big part of this. Not knowing if you completely injured yourself for good and will never feel back to normal. Im still kind of wondering because we altered our DNA to some degree - I’m afraid down the road Im going to find out something terrible has been brewing.
Yes, two days into the supplements, the dizzy, rocking, disconnected, unable to think, heavy, rocking on a boat feeling was gone. All the hoopla going on in my head had calmed down. But I was still very tired and occasionally my heart would thump in my chest in the middle of the night but when I checked my heart rate it wasnt high. The man who mans my building front door had same thing. Of course Dr told him, “youre just anxious.” It’s like gaslighting from doctors.

At this point I feel pretty back to normal.

I saw that one person posted that the VAERs agency contacted him. I wish they would contact me. I want to give them an earful and maybe some tinnitus for extra measure.

It just makes me so annoyed that everyone is being told it’s not the vaccine or it’s anxiety. I mean we just injected ourselves with a totally unknown vaccine that we only have less than year’s worth of data on and has never been thoroughly tested or approved, yet, the symptoms couldn’t possibly be from the vaccine. I mean, what? Huh?

I saw someone posted that a dr got tinnitus and he was trying to convince people it’s a side effect. What the rest of us “morons” just have anxiety and can’t be trusted to know something terrible happened to us even though we lived in these bodies our whole life?

Ugh, sorry for the rant.

What supplement are you taking that make you feel better?  Thanks.

@thenystagmus What a journey you've been on.  I am so sorry and hope that the docs start to find some answers.  I admire your persistence to stay on track.  I am feeling really sad today for everyone's struggles with this situation.  Ugh.  What a nightmare.  That's so interesting that you think you may have had undiagnosed COVID early on.  That would definitely add to your complex situation.  I too have thought back to some mild symptoms in March 2020 back when it was hard to get tested that make me wonder if I had it too.  I talked to a friend yesterday who had COVID 6 months ago and has become one of those long-COVID sufferers.  He still struggles with brain fog and other strange side effects daily.  He hasn't gotten his vaccination yet because he's afraid that it will worsen the long-COVID symptoms.  Apparently there's been some research to advise that people who had COVID to only get a single shot.  But here in the US that has not been passed as a recommendation by the CDC so people like my friend are holding out to see if they change recommendations.  BUT...this somehow makes sense to me that the two doses were too much for some people who had COVID or were otherwise immune compromised or who struggle with autoimmune responses??  Armchair doctor over here but...that's all I've got right now.  I hope you continue to feel better.  Take good care.

Hi, Sorry it's taken me a while to reply ...it's been some crazy several days in my little circle of earth.

Yes, I have also seen talk about people that have had Covid may end up being advised to get only one vaccine dose. It's probably too late for many of those people to heed that advice, because many of them may have already taken the currently advised 2 doses recommended for virtually everybody.

I can understand the reluctance to be vaccinated at all on the part of your friend that has long-Covid symptoms.

In my case, whether I previously had Covid vaccination infection or not, apparently one dose has ended up unadvisable, even though I didn't consider myself immunocompromised, or having autoimmune responses.

When I look over my shoulder into the past before I sought the vaccine, I wish I could warn my then-naive self of the impending danger I was about to blithely sally forth into! Yes, a sad state of affairs for us so affected!

I hope your journey is infused with healing! Armchair doctor? How 'bout fireside friend? 🤗

@dizzyfromvaccine still dizzy but then I've now been diagnosed with meniere's syndrome. I do feel the supplements are helping with my back pain and headaches  are not quite so bad since starting these. I am going to continue taking them as they have helped and having read up on monocytes I think the supplements are a great thing to continue. Thanks again for your support x

hi sassafras,

...I wanted to share an article a friend sent me that has to do with Covid patients developing psychosis. Unfortunately I’m wondering if it could account for “brain fog” that many of us have developed and in my case very weird paranoid thoughts that I have never had before. It’s so scary it could get worse or even be long term. I find I am no longer that happy go lucky positive person and am finding it depressing accepting my current angry fly off the handle self. Sorry but I feel I have been invaded by an evil alien. Does or is anyone else getting the same after having two doses of the vaccine. Or am I losing it? I’m sharing the article my friend sent he. He has a reality with who has suffered psychosis after contracting COVID.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2020/12/28/health/covid-psychosis-mental.amp.html

Hi Gloria - I've given a lot of thought to what you posted... I do plan to read the article you gave a link for. Honestly, I'm just not feeling healthy enough at this point to do it yet ...so, I'll just share my thoughts on your theme for now.

I've had to police my thoughts often in my lifetime. I grew up having a parent that was a late-life "mistake" to parents that had a very different life plan in mind. My parent was an unplanned, regretted child, much younger than older siblings. Never had an affirmed self and when I and my siblings had flown the nest, my parent was eventually successful in intentionality leaving this life. I've had my own demons to deal with in that arena.

So, having dealt with some pretty evil stuff, I'm not surprised at the wrestlings that are there to be gone through by myself and my fellow humans at times. Our support for each other here has been a great mercy for me in this time.

As a result I have in some periods of my life sought help in dealing with my difficulties of thought, emotion and action. I'm not ashamed to have done so and I recommend others seek help when feeling overwhelmed, and especially when frightened by their state of mind.

There are challenges that are greater than our solitary resources, and this health challenge we're facing can easily become that for us. If it does, I hope we will reach in appropriate directions for the help we need to make our way through this battle. There should be no reason for shame when the battle is going badly and reinforcements are called for. The best war generals know when and how to do this. We must learn to do this also, for Goodness sake.

I wish you the wisdom to know your needs, and the courage to reach out for help in getting them met! We all want to get through this to the best health we can muster - not only in body, but also in our mind, soul, and spirit. 🙏

I was OK until I had the 2nd shot and I had previous covid infection. I feel over vaccinated like my whole body is a big toothache and system in overdrive with antibodies in fight mode.

Here's to us all recovering x

Yow! I only took the one shot before reacting and of course you know, like you, I haven't stopped doing that yet.

I feel like my body has been given a very confusing set of conflicting instructions, running in crazy directions like it's manically beating at everything in reach, including itself! Ouch!!

I just don't want the other parts of me to get dragged into this fight and trampled to bits. I don't think its inevitable for that to happen,  but it's taking a lot of energy and wisdom to be keeping my mind and heart above the fray! And I'm going to keep fighting from that vantage point!

I second your motion - "here's to us all recovering"!! 🤗

So have spoken to my gp who has prescribed gabapentin 100mg x3 daily to help with the anxiety and pain which is like having a toothache all over.   Have not been able to sleep unless sitting upright as if lie down the dizziness gets worse. Also having nightmares 3 to 4 each night, gp said should help with sleep too. Will let you know how it works. May be another thing we can add to our tool kit to help with the side effects of this horrible vaccine.

Stay strong friends x

So update from me, first night of full sleep and no nightmares after taking my first dose of 100mg gabapentin. I will say I was super dizzy after taking it but that I think was from my body relaxing and being so tired from lack of sleep. It just seemed to dampen all the nerve pain and anxiety.

This may help others,  so maybe speak to your Dr's and discuss if gabapentin may be worth trying.

It's  an anti convulsant which is also used for nerve pain and anxiety.

Keep going guys, we will fight through this, every little victory is a step forward to full recovery. X

Hi Natalie

If you can read back. I took glutathione, zinc and querecitin. It worked really well for me. Some people here have different symptoms and tried it - which you know I cant say either way if that’s good. Some started with the same results as me but some didnt. A few people messaged me on the site about being better. One person was better but then had another bout of dizziness. Some say they got other diagnoses which I didnt have.  So I may have been the lucky one.
