I felt well enough to drive my son to a medical appointment yesterday, barely. It took every bit of resources I could muster and left me very depleted, continuing into today. This was 10 days after feeling like I'd lapsed to square one after 3+ months of these issues.

During that 10 days I did a second 6-day Medrol taper. Crazy highs and lows and I don't know what's next. It at least bought me some temporary recovery while I wait for MRI next week, which was my ENT's intentions.

But doing the steroid is a difficult ride for me with the pronounced effects it gives me, physically, mentally and emotionally, so I'm not sure I want to do that anymore in the future. Others have said they felt very little effect from steroids, intended therapeutics and/or side effects, but I have a long history of overreacting to influences on my body. In fact, that's why I arrived here! 🤨🙏

Good for you for making that journey, that's progress in my book.🙏😊

Hi Tabby, I'm glad to hear you've begun to feel better again! At this point I know that every little hill won can feel like a small mountain of victory! I hope you have more and more better days!

I'm continuing in recovery mode here. Waking up this morning I'm aware of episodes of nystagmus in bed overnight and this morning, but I'm thankful they didn't follow me out of bed a bit ago!

I realized I want to ask others a question associated with the course of my symptoms. At the beginning of all this in early March I had lots of vertigo, nystagmus and nausea. As that subsided into more dizziness and nausea, I heard others sharing about unilateral (one sided) symptoms. I couldn't localize where my vestibular system was wonky.

Only as time went on, did I begin to have facial numbness, then ear canal numbness, adding ear fullness and mild ear pain all unilateral to the right. So, l could then understand it to be likely that my right vestibular system was affected. Later, I added pressure in my right sinus - without congestion and mild tinnitus to my symptoms. As that has quite slowly grown in intensity, I realized that my left ear seemed to enjoy quiet, while it was my right ear that seemed to be sending this sound of static to my brain. These symptoms that grew slowly have lessened during each of the 2 Medrol paks I took, then rebounded afterwards.

So, I'm wondering if others have experienced a similar additional cluster of symptoms that came on belatedly, gradually, and increasingly on one side?

Hi Sassafras. Thank you for your good wishes. Still feel like I'm making some progress.

I don't think my symptoms have ever been as bad as yours. I haven't had nystgmus, vertigo, facial numbness or ear canal numbness. I have had the feeling of ear fullness in my left ear more so than my right, some ear ache there too, I'm also sensitive to noises, any little unexpected noise startles me.

My tinnitus, which I had before the jabs, is now louder, I cannot say which ear is affected mostly, I understand this to be brain noise rather than ear noise?? Dizziness has been my worse problem and migraine type headaches which always affect the top right of my head. If I turn onto my right side in bed I feel dizzy.

When I had tinnitus several years ago, I had the same problem with dizziness turning onto my right side in bed. I went to ENT about it and nothing was found. Hearing was normal, had the Epley but no nystagmus or vertigo was detected. No diagnoses was offered apart from neck tension issues, caused by forward head posture, damaging the nerves in my neck. I sometime wonder whether too much aspirin brought on my tinnitus initially because I used to get migraines and I'd take aspirin in fear of getting one so that I would be able to go to work. I couldn't take anything else at the time, not even paracetamol.

I get sinus problems, both sides, stuffy nose feelings. This can be affected by diet I've noticed. I have tried to analyse it all but I cannot make sense of it,to sum up I would say my left ear is worse than my right but my right side of by head is worse than my left. The whole situation has caused me anxiety too. The experience I've had since the jabs is like the dream I had last night, I dreamt I won the lottery but lost my ticket so couldn't claim the benefits. Sorry I can't be of any help, this vaccine enigma is as baffling to me as it is you. Best wishes.🙏😊

@danbΒ  YES, Yes, yes! Oh, please don't stop your rants! There are many here and everywhere that need to hear our reactions to their reaction s to our reactions ...if you can follow me in my dizzy circling.

May I be so bold as to recommend that you seek additional opinion? VEDA had no professional subscribers in my region of the US, but they have a locating service on this website for providers that may show one or more in your area.

Of course, at this point you may also be inclined to make some calls before setting any appointment to screen out those that may be parading around in clothing similar to the "Emperor's New Clothes"... 😕😂🙏

@kirstymillerΒ  OK so the Dr I had a zoon consult with was listed on the FLCC website. His website is the natural doctor.org and his name is Dr Nyjon Eccles. I had an immune support consultation. However if you call them and explain what is going on with you theyΒ  will help you to book in and prioritise you for a cancellation slot if your symptoms are severe.

Β

He was a really lovely Dr too who wanted to help me and explained everything to me, - why I have my symptoms and what he is doing to treat them.

Wishing you well and please message me whenever you like x

Hi everyone. Got my first Pfizer vaccine 11 days ago; got hit with massive heart palpitations (which come and go) and a 24/7 shortness of breath on the following day.

I've had dizzy spells come and go, seemingly out of nowhere. I've had an instance where I stood up and my heart starts pounding and i'll feel incredibly faint for no real reason, but other times I'll be totally fine for days (minus the persistent breathing issues).

I've been to A&E twice and even called 999 when my breathing became incredibly difficult but my heart, lungs all seem fine, and I've had every blood test under the sun come back clear.

The issue is is that I do have a history with anxiety so everyone keeps putting it down to that. I've had anxiety my whole life - I know what it feels like, and this isn't it. I've never had heart palpitations, breathing issues, or dizziness/lightheadedness, and I find the fact that all of these symptoms have come out of the blue post-vaccine to be incredibly suspicious to say the least. It's incredibly invalidating to have my family and the doctors - despite their best efforts - put it all down to my mental health. This has been an absolutely horrifying experience.

Part of me is wondering whether the vaccine has just elevated my anxiety, which is what's leading to the dizziness and breathing issues.Β

No real contribution, just wanted to vent if nothing else. Best of luck to everyone here on your recovery - we'll get through this.

Hi, I got my 2nd Covid shot,Β  over a wk ago, and now last few days I've been having dizziness, off balance, and nausea, upset stomach, when I move around too much. Could this possibly be side effects from vaccine ?

Many others posting here are reporting the same side effects after the vaccine, some after the first shot, some after the second.Β  Some are getting the side effects shortly after, some are getting delayed side effects.Β  Many are having long term side effects.Β  If you are in the U.S. make a report to VAERS, and also to the vaccine manufacturer.Β  Β If you are in another country, make a report to whatever agency there is taking these reportsΒ  there and also to the vaccine manufacturer.

Yes, hopefully the jigsaw will come together, as you say, and hopefully there will be no missing pieces. Best wishes.🙏😊

Update:Β

Hey guys. Yesterday marked 4 months since my first dose. While I believe VRT has helped my nausea and fatigue, I'm still very much "on the boat", lightheaded, and dealing with unnerving internal tremors. I just received a call from the CDC concerning my last v safe check in. Waiting to hear back from them. I wish I could tell you guys that I was back to normal, but I'm not. I am functioning better, and I'm learning to live with this. Still trying different supplements, etc. Kinda decided to stop chasing a diagnosis. I've spent 1000 bucks already for nothing. Anyway, I dont check here everyday anymore, so when I do I cant read through all I've missed. I wish you all good days, and will continue to update periodically since I seem to be one of the original long haulers.Β

@seli120Β

If you look through the many pages on this forum you will see that folks here have some if not all of the same symptoms as you...people are taking supplements such as liquid liposomal glutathione and Quercetin for the dizzyness and it seems to have helped most folks...there are folks taking all sorts of supplements to help them reduce the inflammation...as for me, I only suffer from ringing in the ears...It started on May 9th, after my second dose and is still with me...but I can absolutely attest that this week the ringing seems to have subsided some...Not sure if it is time, or some of the supplements I am taking along with the others here on the forum...

About the second shot, well I can't say...I had my first shot and no symptoms...

If you read the below post below from @danb you will see that you will eventually recover eventually...

Hello All, I wanted to share this because it explains what is likely going on with post vaccine inflammation and covid long haulers so well. My wife has had lingering brain fog, vertigo for 8 weeks post 2nd dose vaccination and my mother in law is in the midst of long covid for 6 months. This truly looks to be a cheap, safe treatment to break the immune / inflammation cycle and let your body reset to homeostasis. The video below is timestamped where they discuss and visually show the mechanisms behind what is likely going on. We have a telemedicne call lined up with Dr. Haider for my mother in law and my wife has already had some relief using nasal corticosteroids.

The bottom line is to reduce inflammation which reduces the immune response, inhibits the spike proteins, and let the mast cells and immune function reset to normal.

All of the things here that have helped people reduce inflammation (omega 3's, turmeric, NSAID, corticosteroids) but the use of ivermectin, fluvoxamine, and steroids either by themselves or sometimes in conjunction seem to fully reset the system to get back to your normal self.

P.S. They do mention that although the function of inflammation is similar from vaccine to long covid that the vaccine related inflammation will not be a viscous cycle like the long haulers have. It's similar reaction but shorter durations. Most long haulers are taking a year or so to recover whereas the post vaccine is within weeks or months.Β

Lol, thank you. Yes, I did teach IT at a college where I worked. I worked at a computer by day and taught IT two afternoons and two evenings each week. I was a nurse a long time ago but finished when I had my daughter. Only mentioning it because I think I have done so previously when I mentioned the story about the smashed thermometers when I was a student nurse.😊

I don’t know if this will be of any help to any one but I called my allergist and told them what was going on. They said they seen a number of people with inflammation issues lately and wanted me to come in next thursday

@seli120 Hi! I’m having the same issues with my head and my skin. 3 weeks after the jab, my head has started ache terribly in the back while I was sleeping and sometimes I feel like a β€œjolt” that radiates from behind till the top.Β
Concerning the skin, I feel like it’s burning especially in the morning when I wake up, on my cheeks and ears (I can’t sleep on a side because it gets worse and worse).Β
Till now I’m still searching a solution, my doctor doesn’t listen to me and he says is anxiety but it isn’t, I feel really bad and it all started that day after the jab. I’m worried of course, because they don’t say anything useful and I just want to feel good.Β
Hope we all can be fine very soon. xx

You do well to mention it ...just part of your valuable life experience. I got to do a one year program to be a respiratory therapist and work in that field fir a while many years ago. A building block being used in my life since ...to this very day!
