I know I have to be patient and it’s only week 6 for me but I’m wondering if their are a lot of people out there who haven’t found this website yet and are having similar issues. It’s hard to tell who else is going through this even when running errands or passing by people some with or without masks it’s not like their showing their issues. For me I can function somewhat but the brain fog is annoying even while walking the off balance feeling gets tiring. I hope the experts realize this vaccine has major problems and come up with a cure for this.
Hi Jason. Good to hear that you're getting better, it gives a little bit of hope to the rest of us! It's good to get an approximate timeline too, even though obviously it wont be the same for everyone. I assume others on here have done this, I googled 'how long do side effects from vaccines last' and get nothing but 'they should all go after a few days.' Not much help to pretty much everyone on here!
- @isismadec I feel extremely betrayed. Not going back for my second dose. No f-ing way.
@hippo33 I know you didn’t and I’m honestly not leaving because of you! I’m leaving because I’ve contributed all I can by sharing what I’ve been told and I have gained very valuable information from this forum in regards to the supplements. Aside from that I don’t think the daily scrolling on this forum is helping me at all because it means I’m constantly thinking about it which isn’t going to get me well! And clearly we are not all experiencing the same things or for the same duration so what’s hopeful for some is frustrating for others…and I am genuinely sorry those people are going through such a long haul. I may well end up one of them, who knows but the general consensus is people seem to be improving by then but we are all different ages weights etc etc and all this could be a factor on how long we each take to recover!
I’m certain we will all be okay though, it’s just the unknown isn’t it and that’s what’s so scary!
Get well soon you lovely bunch
☮️
I am still ill too. I wasn’t overlooking anyone, I was merely sharing information I was given by a pharmacist who has experienced the same as me and some others on this forum to give them some reassuring information and hope.
Unfortunately while we can all support each other in a positive way on here we can easily all bring each other down the same way.
I think I’m done here now though so I wish you all well very soon.
Take care
Hi ladyd - I'm sorry that you're thinking you may be done here. I've appreciated many of your posts, finding thoughtfulness, level-headedness, and compassion in your sharing.
I notice you're maybe ~8/9 weeks into all this? I've found it helpful at times to pace myself in looking towards a short term goal. I hope your (and others here) experience turns out that your recovery is within the 12 weeks that some have theorized our bodies will need to recover from this beastie.
I fail to understand why that may not be the case for some of us, but just as those of us having Covid vaccine adverse effects seem to be a minority, those of us turning out to look like Covid vaccine long haulers may be a minority of this minority we all find ourselves being a part of. So I don't know if what we're left with will continue to resolve or if we will have permanent effects to adjust to. That would not be preferable, but it would be ok.
But since some of us are coasting past that 12 week mark without our course ending and earning long hauler status (which, ironically, is 12 weeks for Covid infection long haulers), I just don't want us ignored here or newcomers to have the firm expectation that they'll be all done with this in that shorter amount of time.
If I were still working and had assured my employer to expect I'd be back in that timeframe, things could get pretty dicey if that turned out not to be so.
I do continue to hope for accumulating recovery each and every day for all of us.
Well wishes! 😏👍🙏
@thenystagmus Thank you for acknowledging my good intentions. I’m at 10 weeks on Monday. When I had chemotherapy the side effects to that lasted 6 months or so, so I’m half expecting to be in it for the long haul due to a compromised lymphatic system too but I’m simply relaying information from a medical professional who’s had the same as me and recovered in 12 weeks. He did say some fatigue and brain fog still lingers for him and he notices he can’t exercise like he used to but it will take our bodies some time to come down from this. The main point is that this cover up is gradually being uncovered in the UK (according to him) and those suffering vaccine long term side effects are being considered for treatment in long covid clinics. Let’s hope that happens in the next few months!

I consider you noble-hearted! You have earned a lot of enviable life experience in your years!
I hope this worldwide fiasco of turning blind eyes and deaf ears will soon become blindingly and deafeningly apparent... Like an overgrown child trying to wear its infant clothing! 😳
I've been searching for long Covid clinics in my area of the Midwest US and have come up empty-handed to date.
But that doesn't mean I've lost hope - Nope!
I do hope you'll at least pop back in here sometime once (or more) again!
Well wishes! 😏👍🙏

@ladyd I have been experiencing symptoms described in previous posts since 18.3.21, had my one and only AZ jab on 2.3.21. I have thought for a while a long covid clinic would be more suitable to treat us rather than all .these separate drs/hospital appointments. Lady D please stay with us, your comments are really helpful. I hope your medical associate is right and we can get some help from this type of clinic. I am seeing someone from the neurology dept shortly, but they've only referred me to a headache nurse, which I queried, but they told me the wait to see a neurologist could be as far away as December, so I will keep the appointment and yet again relay all the symptoms. We all need proper help though and these long covid clinics would probably be of more help. Could you please keep me posted if you hear any more of this. Your comments have been really helpful to me and I would miss you so much if you went!××

Hi all,
I hope everyone is well. I've done a little lurking here, but 358 pages is a quite a lot to get through!
I apologise if I'm asking for advice on what might be a well discussed issue, but like I say there's a lot of pages to read!
I'm in the UK and received my first dose of Moderna in 6th June (30 year old female no medical conditions).
I experienced a delayed response and had chills, nausea, fever headaches (the usual 'flu' response) a week later that lasted in full effect for 4 days, feeling back to normal by day 7. The only lingering thing I have is tinnitus.
It feels more isolated to my left ear, and feels full at the same time. I've had my ears checked and they're all clear and healthy, with no other apparent cause for tinnitus such as infection. I have been thinking it's blocked tubes, but the likelihood of it coinciding with my first jab doesn't add up for me.
Like others with their symptoms I am worried I now have tinnitus for life.
Has anyone else with tinnitus after their jab found it disappeared on its own, or has been helped with any treatments?
Thank you!
@thenystagmus On a separate note regarding cover ups. The only websites l have found in the UK where people have been posting side affects is on the Open Access Government website, one on side affects for the Astra Zeneca jab and a separate one for Pfizer. Some comments aren't posted, I know because I got one posted and not the other. Depends who is moderating I think. There are alot of comments on these websites though, similar things to us all on here.
