I am so happy to find this forum. I received the first dose of the Moderna vaccine on February 10. Other than a slightly sore arm I had no other side effect. About 9 days later I developed Covid Arm. In the next week I began to feel dizzy upon rising . I’ve had good days and not so good ones since. I don’t have any previous history of dizziness and am 69 and in generally good health. I too suspected Covid and was tested to rule it out which it has been. I’m due to receive the second dose next week and am apprehensive . While it is good to know I’m not alone, my wish is that all of us resolve this dizzy feeling.

@akme5a my episode was 10 days ago and I feel slowly better each day. I do have a specialist apt scheduled but hang in there! It does get better (a week ago I wasn’t so hopeful)

I had my first Pfizer vaccine on the 23rd Feb. Had a bit of general achiness a few hours afterwards and for a couple of days then fine. Woke the early hours of 1st March with severe dizziness and was taken into hospital as out of hours GP thought I may be having  stroke (I had a TIA in 2018, but have been healthy since). Thankfully ans ECG and CT scan showed all fine, so discharged, and after a couple of days of literally being unable to function and any anti-dizziness medication not working, the dizziness has subsided but not entirely gone.

I asked the Dr in the hospital whether it could have been caused by the vaccine and she shrugged, "It's too new to know for certain."

I've never had this before and am feeling quite anxious about the second dose, as so many people are reporting worse symptoms, and nobody on here seems to have fully recovered following theirs! Are we all now permanently dizzy??

I received my 1st Pfizer vaccine on Thursday, March 4.  It's now Saturday morning and I'm extremely dizzy.  No prior issues.  Thought maybe it was allergies and then almost fell down when I got out of bed.  Very concerned.  Not sure if I'll get the second shot after reading everything here.  This is awful.

@kris, not your fault. It hasn’t been stressed at the sites the way I wish it had been.

I am Tina and I have been having dizziness since my first Moderna vaccine 10 days ago. I had other rarer effects that lasted 6-7 days, but the dizziness and vertigo has been ongoing. I am glad to have found this group and hope we can share information about what helps. I wish I could undo my shot. I don’t plan on getting the second shot out of fear what will happen next.  I am concerned about these effects and it’s impact on my daily activities.

@ellenThank you. On my v-safe, I may ask them to call me, as the CDC seems unaware of the lingering effects.

New member—75 year old retired MD. 9 days after first Moderna shot  on my elliptical and acute onset of vertigo vomiting and fell against the wall. Couldn’t stand up and thought I was having a cerebellar stroke. Taken to ER and head and neck CTA and head MRI were normal as well as labs and EKG. Never had it before nor since. ER did literature search and had not been reported at that point as a possible side effect to the shot. Pretty suspicious now though!

I just got my first Pfizer dose at 3pm yesterday.  This morning woke up and feel as though I’m drunk.  Super dizzy, with no history of vertigo or any other conditions that could cause this.  I do hope this clears up!  Do most ppl experiencing dizziness have any underlying conditions? Does this mean I possibly have a condition I wasn’t aware of?

i have had vestibular problems before.  24 hours after first Moderna shot had a vertigo attack. Off balance ever since and tinnitus cranked up. My Otologist said she has seen other patients with a vertigo reaction but offered nothing more to help me decide what to do about shot #2. I am very reluctant....it has been 4 weeks and still lingering effects.

Just a follow up on my situation.  Tuesday will be three weeks.  I went to an ENT/Neurologist who thought my tinnitus and dizziness might be due to an disturbance of the Vestibular Neuritis I got from a flu vaccine in 2013.  Still having feelings of dizziness, nausea, slight headaches, ringing in ears, and just feeling out of it.  Not great and very depressing.  He didn’t have much to offer as far as treatment other than the vestibular exercises which I do 3 times a day.  Going for an MRI this week.

I had my first dose of the Moderna vaccine yesterday. The weird thing is, both of my arms are sore! I didn't sleep well last night because of the arm pain, but other than that no symptoms. Fingers crossed I don't have any balance problems.

I had my 1st Pfizer vaccine on February 25th.  I am a 56 year old healthy health care professional with no underlying issues.  I was foggy the first two days after the vaccine, and then the dizziness and nausea set in....my equilibrium was off...like being on a boat.

I am not sure if I will get the second shot.

I am starting to feel a little better...but getting nauseous as I write this...

@rye311 most people who have posted stated that they do not have any conditions or prior vertigo experiences. My guess is that our immune systems are just reacting to the vaccine in an inflammatory response that is causing our vertigo. My hope is that it goes away and we will all be fine but it is human nature to entertain the worst possible scenario. It is also very early in the vaccine roll out so we do not have the data yet to see if it goes away. As soon as some of us start to see their vertigo resolve and communicate that I think we will all feel better and have a reason to have faith in our bodies own healing ability.
