My story a little bit different
My last covid vaccine dose was on 22-3-2021
after 3 months at 24-6-2021 i started to have numbness in my toungue and inside the whole mouth it was very weird feeling , after 5 days i started to have numbness in my both feets and both hands and it was going up until it reached lower genital area and hand numbness reached both shoulders my abdomen and back was spared. After 2 weeks i started to have little dysphagia or just a feeling of something in my throat.also i had tinnitus both ears and easy fatigue and generalised bodyache and fee time vibration sensation in my legs and genital area. Blood work done was normal brain mri shows few white patches some of the doctors says it could be ms and other said it variant GBS and these patches old changes , nerve conduction study was normal. Lumpar pauncture was normal , i have seen ENT consultant and laryngoscope done , Audiometer and tympanogram and barium swallow all done and it was normal and he told me this feeling of dysphagia is pharyngeal glubus but no explanation about tinnitus
i have also seen 5 neurologist some of them told me its sensory GBS other say its polyneuropathy with no clear cause because mri finding not specific for ms and its only old changes not related to the current situation
it was difficult time on me i saw psychiatrist because of anxiety. too many things in my mind he prescripe ssri and im on it for the last 2 months
my dysphagia and fatigue and generalized muscle pain all has improved 90%
only few numbness in my hands and feets
I started to go to gyme for the last 4 months
now i completed one year from last dose with little numbness in hands and feet.
Try not to google because it just gonna make it worse.
hope this nightmare end soon.
Sorry my language not that good. Hope all of us get better soon.
It is 12 weeks after the onset of my symptoms..
I saw a psychiatrist
He prescribed an SSRI that helps to relieve the anxiety..
Still have mild cold pins And needles
In my hand and sometimes in my legs.
My numbness has totally disappeared
I think i would take another month recover or two..
My advice:
Relaxing - very essential
Eating natural food
Sleep early
Stop caffeine
Take
vit. C , zinc, B12 complex
Talk to a physiatrist to help you pass this hard time -
My recent neurologist ( one of the most famous neurologists in the region ) finally started to believe that something has happened to my nerve that causes a damaged and is hard to discover what is it ,, could be a virus or Maybe the vaccine!!
Time will help us All to recover.
12 weeks now!! I think another month to reach an acceptable level of recovery
I've been looking at this forum for a few months but I was too scared to post.
I had paraesthesia that spread from one leg to both around 2 days after my second Moderna COVID-19 vaccination dose on July 15th 2021. It actually went away around 2 months later, however about a month ago it returned; I now have chronic tingling in my hands and feet all day, and have done so since early March 2022. My GP is pretty slow and said it's anxiety (I had to laugh at him when he suggested that), but I doubt that's the case. I'm only 24 and plan to be a med student next year so I'm hoping it's nothing serious, but I'm pretty concerned since I don't want it to impact my performance or career in the long run
My question is: has anyone had their symptoms resolve completely, only to return months later?
@floryeo I have bracketing in my neck joint after third astra shot. Never had this before and it started a couple of weeks after the shot. Anyone else have this? Did it go away?
feels like I have arthritis in my neck and I’m 39.
That's an impressive amount of research. Thanks for sharing it. I had an MRI of my brain but not my spine. My doctors and I have been focusing on my pre-existing damage from unilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss. I wish we had looked at my spine, too.
Has anyone ever been given an explanation of why these neuropathies occur after covid vaccination?
@hailey that's great that your flares ups have settled some what. I hope your physio appointment relieves your pain and discomfort.
No I am not taking any meds. Its anyone's guess regarding the mandates. Some people think it will end after winter. Apparently NZ have announced they will end some of its in April, but who knows if businesses will follow suit. I imagine Australia might have a similar issue...

I was told by GP my pins and needles was caused by inflammation in my spine after the jab.
I had the first pfizer shot March 10th. Feeling the tingles that move from hand to feet on both sides. Today My left foot and side of my face felt like it was a cool rushing of water on it sensation (pins and needles) and my left calf was tight. Sometimes my back gets that weird sensation also. I have read through a lot of posts...have read about gum and teeth, but now jaw/ cheek feeling tingly (apologies if I missed it).
Can anyone share if they've had the face sensation, please?
I also have tinnitus now, not bad, just continuous. Was super worried today, went back and reread some posts and felt better. I have no high bp or any other known issues at the moment.
I've had the face tingling, pins and needles, twitching. It seems to follow along where the facial nerves run from my forehead down across my cheeks and top lip and chin. It's on and off by with a mild lingering numbness in the nerve under my right eye.
@mrmmcd Hi, I also had some tingling & tight odd skin feeling on my left side of face & scalp. It would sometimes feel like my hairs standing on end. I haven’t had that for a month or 2 now & I’m at 9 months since 1 & only jab. I have read success stories of tingling resolving after a few weeks so cross fingers you will feel normal soon. Try to stay calm & know you are not the only one.
You are the first person I have encountered that has experienced the hairs standing on end. I have had this too on occasion. It's like sudden goosebumps or like you say the hairs standing up on end but mine can happen in random patches on my body even when it's hot.
@lmkk Do you mind me asking how your GP diagnosed the inflammation in your spine and if he gave you any ideas of how long it would last and what treatment to take?

Yes I had exactly that, it was like a wave of goosebumps, on my right arm & leg too but haven’t had it for around a couple months now.
This thread has kept me sane knowing that other people are suffering with the same.
I had my first covid jab in June 2021. I had some numbness at night but nothing significant. I had covid between my first and second jab. Two weeks after my second dose I felt tingling/buzzing in my foot. This spread to my hand. At points it also went to bottom of my face and back of my skull. There was a lot of twitching in my leg- all the tingling/twitching was on the side of my jab.
The symptoms would come for a few days then go, then return and go. This happened for the whole month of September. It all suddenly stopped.
In December/jan it started again but with no where near as much severity. Mild tingling in hand and foot but not in face. I used my works private healthcare- was very worried about MS.
I have now been sent for an MRI on my Brain and c spine. Unlike most on here my MRI has shown some inflammation albeit very minor. The dr said it could be nothing or something but it’s essentially inconclusive and I have now been sent for bloods- not the standard ones but some things I’ve never heard of. Just waiting for the results of these.
Although the symptoms are annoying, i am just wanting to get to the bottom of it!! Has anyone else had an MRI that hasn’t come back completely normal?
thanks!

Hi he just asked me to describe all my symptoms and how soon did they happen (everything started about 30 mins after first Pfizer jab no prior health issues before that).
He asked if I had bladder or bowl issues which I didn't and he asked lots of other questions about do I smoke/drink (which I don't). Looking back I get the feeling I wasn't the first person he had seen with these issues as he was able to make a quick diagnosis.
He said the jab creates an inflammatory response and my body had reacted very robustly to it. He said it would last a few weeks and to manage it with ibuprofen....that was 8 months ago! I still have it but the pins and needles are better than they were in the beginning it was horrible and utterly took over my life I couldn't concentrate on anything else.
Although it has gotten much better I also think I have gotten used to it. Some days it's barely noticeable now I have to stop and sit still to feel it so it is very slowly getting better.
