@jkrogmeier Hi - no I didn’t have any vertigo - although I have had vertigo issues in the past. My main issue has been the tingling/burning in hands and feet/legs
@richardhall17 that’s good no vertigo. I have had a wide range of issues. Ear pressure, tinnitus, intermittent vertigo, nerve issues, paresthesias in all limbs, numbness in limbs, headache like never before, lumps under my skin all over body, night sweats early on, nightmares early on, occasional internal buzz at night now (early on was a lot), a general feeling of just not well. I have felt a lot better than in the beginning but I’m for sure not 100% better and I’m 7.5 weeks post first and only shot I will ever take. I wasn’t going to get it and then got what I feel like suckered into it with a lot of pressures going on at that moment in time and with 1.5 years of isolation and stress built up. Good luck to you! I’m wishing you the best and also everyone else the best!
I have had the itching and tingling since 4 days after my vaccine. It came on strong, like the itching was so intense and I had the worst crawly, tingly paresthesias. I've never in my life experienced anything like it. I'm a normal working person in my mid thirties with an unremarkable mental and physical health history and this experience made me feel like I was losing my mind. My doc thought it was a reaction to my medication, which I stopped. The itching did seem to get better, at first after I stopped, but it has been 3 weeks since I've taken the med and it's not gone and it's not that much different than 3 days after stopping the med. Something is going on. I've been the neuro and they look at me like I have two heads. So far, not much helps, I tried loratidine (2nd generation, non drowsy antihistamine) and it doesn't seem to help all that much. In general, it is better than it was 4 weeks ago when it started, and it does seem to be improving very slowly. I'm keeping a super clean diet and exercise plan and trying to get a second neuro opinion. I'm hopeful that it will get slowly better.
@divaeyez37 I understand crying and not wanting to go to sleep. I had the worst lucid (very real) nightmares at first and was terrified to go to sleep as my symptoms were even worse when I went to sleep
@johnnyc I also wondered immediately about GBS but docs all dismissed it because I still had mobility. I have found cases out there that didn’t kid mobility as well. I think GBS or a overactive immune response sounds likely.
@johnnyc please let us know what treatment you get if you don’t mind. Are you in the U.S. or other country? Just curious where I could get treatment as well.
@medee I really do think that staying calm, positive and distracting yourself from these feelings and also the thoughts about them really helps. I had a few bad days where it all seemed to flare up but I was overthinking everything and panicking that Im going to have some serious health issues etc as a result . Then I spoke to my Dr who was quite reassuring. She said all vaccines can cause nerve flare ups but these covid ones are a lot stronger and generate a stronger immune response. She also said nerve pain generally always goes away with time, some people may just take longer than others. It's now just a case of either trying out different meds that will ease the symptoms, or just riding it out till our bodies naturally settle everything down. Since I had the talk with my Dr my symptoms are still there but i notice them a lot less and I'm focusing on other stuff. Some days I don't notice them much at all and I can see certain body parts which used to have nerve pain have now gotten better. So I definitely believe we should all try to minimise our anxiety about this as much as we can.
I didnt have ear pain but I did experience some tinnitus type symptoms a few times but they were very mild and passed quickly.
My neuro prescribed me gabapentin as well and I took it for a few days but felt spaced out and not myself so I stopped it.
I think the best bet is to just keep believing that your body is healing and this will all go away soon!
Doctors are there to be reassuring, but your average GP has no idea.
Do research on small fiber sensory neuropathy.
50% idiopathic .... immune issues suspected.
No cure, only treatment. Could go away, stay the same, or get worse....
Forum is almost 50 pages long and not ONE person is well again ... totally well.
Go figure.
And I am certainly not buying into the functional neurological disorder explanation ...... easy to say it's all in your head... what a load of rubbish. I had no fear of vaccine. I trust science. I was looking forward to being protected. I didn't even connect my symptoms to the vaccine until I found forums.....
There is no doubt the vaccines are causing neuro issues.... give it a few years and and all the ' we didn't know at the time..' responses will come.
I consider myself one of the small % of unlucky people.... no blame on anyone, but people need to wake up to the FACTS.
@nat21 I so agree with every word you said. I have seen some drop in the symptoms too after speaking with the doctor. Also, I guess this Gabapin NT is some crazy drug. I just took a tablet 2 days ago and I'm still feeling drowsy. Also my symptoms aggravated post the intake of this tablet and felt a lot of jerky movements in my sleep. Informed the doctor but she seemed to suggest to continue taking it as she had already told me it'll take 4-5 days for it to adjust to my body. I haven't taken it last night and plan to not take it. Though I haven't informed the doctor about discontinuing it.
I am currently only intaking B12 tablets and drinking a lot of fluids. I have a slight pain in my ears along with Tinnitus. Before taking the Gabapin, it happened only once; however, after taking it, it has been on and off. Its better I do not take the tablet.
I Googled it and seems like all these symptoms occur due to being deficient on B12. The tremors, tingling, pins and needles, Tinnitus and ear pain. Seems like its all connected. You may look it up too. Right now, I'm waiting for my blood reports. I'm hoping that it ends-up being a B12 deficiency so that I could start fixing my body at the earliest.
It's been a crazy time and I hope all of us recover from this soon. Keeping you all in my prayers.

I opted to get the 2nd round of Pfizer today - was very anxious just before and after getting the shot as once this stuff goes in it ain’t coming back out again and I was worried I was making a big mistake. 8 hours later and there is no change to my symptoms, just the usual dead arm. I will keep you all posted if I have any changes to my symptoms (or not) as I know a lot of you are unsure whether to get your second dose or not.
10/6 got the booster for Pfizer- so yes, third shot. This year, though, I also had tetanus and flu shots. My Dad is battling lymphoma, and I go with him for treatments in a small room.
10/7 numbness along my jaw
10/8 ER visit #1, MRI without contrast, all normal. Sent home with valcylovir (sp) and steroids.
10/13 Progressing from jaw, to scalp, saw GP who reported to VAERS
10/16 Second round of steroids (medrol pack) began
10/20 Numbness/parasthesia from scalp, to left jaw, to left shoulder, to chest area, went to another ER- MRI with and without contrast of brain, cervical spine, thoracic spine- all normal, all bloodwork normal, EKG normal, sent home
10/24 entire left side of body parasthesia, nerve pain, intermittent numbness
10/26 Neurologist appointment- looked over everything and thinks it will go away within a month, but, take gabapentin to help. Thinks a vaccine response, and that it can't possibly be anything else. If in a month no improvement, will do the spinal tap but he felt the risk of the tap was worse than letting this go a month.
I have no muscle involvement at this point.
Tinnitus- already had, and is quite increased.
While I hate that this has happened, I do think everything carries risk- and to me, this was just luck of the draw.
I certainly hope it's just the vax and nothing more serious. I'll be curious to see how everyone progresses.
Hello all,
I wanted to add my story here. Exactly 2 weeks post Pfizer shot I began having tingling in my feet and hands. Started progressing to other parts of my body. Have tingling at the tip of my nose, my chin and upper back. It isn’t constant, tends to come and go very frequently throughout the day. Also have brain fog and woke up this morning severely fatigued/weak. Was a struggle to get out of bed. I am 13 weeks postpartum and didn’t have any issues that I can recall after the first shot. Barely even a sore arm. I can still walk fine and my legs aren’t numb or weak. I have been terrified that I have GBS. Not sure if I should take a trip the the ER or wait it out. Started taking Claritin yesterday and might add ibuprofen today as I’ve seen people have gotten some relief. I really hope this all passes soon. I am supposed to work today at a new job and I don’t even think I have the energy to go. It’s awful.
@richardhall17 great to hear you haven't any extra symptoms. Please keep updating over the next couple of weeks to give us hope.
Hi Everyone,
First let me say that I thought I was alone in this until I found this forum! So glad you all have been willing to share your stories. I too have had issues with tingling/numbness with the Pfizer vaccine. I received my first in April, second in May. Four days after the first shot, I felt tingling in my thighs, then it moved to phantom touching all over my body. Two weeks later - numbness/tingling and what I'd call electric shocks all over. I ran three miles a day before the shot, after, I had zero energy. Since July, I have have a brain MRI -with and without contrast, and two spinal MRI's with and without contrast. My Neurologist wanted to rule out MS, which he has. It's now late Oct, and most of my symptoms have faded. The only issues I have now are occasional tingling and numbness in three of my toes and sometimes the bottom of both feet, and muscles spasms in my left calf. I'll be having an EMG soon.
