@saba I saw the neurologist yesterday and apparently they think it might be linked to migraines. Saying he thinks it’s APL syndrome. He asked me to do several blood tests and see him 25/11 to confirm if I have the condition. He Pfizer may have triggered if I have this APL. I was told to take aspirin and inderal until I see him . I pray and hope this might be it and I can go back to feeling normal with my vision.

how are you feeling?
funny how what you said is what was told to me .

hi , thanks for the message.
my migraines left me weeks ago I have maybe only had one in the past week.
my other symptoms have subsided like fatigue, numbness, taste/smell improved, headaches but blurry vision/floaters/fuzzy is still there . Also very sensitive to light.

I saw the neurologist so hoping his tests that his asked me to do will give me some answers.
I just want to feel myself again.

I still feel uncomfortable taking 2nd dose of Pfizer.

Hi Steph, have you also lost your taste and smell after the vaccine? I’ve lost it since my first dose in June and it’s only at 40-50% now.

@stephff Hi Steph,

My taste and smell hasn’t gotten better since my first dose in June. If you click on my name you’ll see my side effects on a different post. I’ve had many.
Don’t worry, you will feel better. My numbness started subsiding around 4 months after the dose.
I still have some lingering side effects but overall I’d say I’m feeling 80% better.
The ENT specialist said it could take up to a year for the taste and smell to come back fully. I guess they are treating us like Covid patients. I will not be taking any more shots.
I’ve had a blood test done in the summer and it was normal. I’m also currently waiting for another blood test result to check for auto immune diseases.
Please let me know when you get your results.
I know it’s scary but don’t worry you will start feeling better. The recovery is just very long and slow.
Praying for you 🙏🏽

@lili23 The cloudiness or spots may be caused by the eye’s lubrication leaking around the eye socket to the front of the eye (look up PVD, Post Ventricular Disorder).  This fluid is primarily Collagen and water, and a loss of collagen may be allowing a thinner lubricant to leak around the socket to the front of the eye.

My “PVD” started exactly 24 hrs after receiving the Pfizer vaccine.  After reading these posts I’m convinced they’re related.

There’s really nothing to lose by just trying a collagen supplement for a week.  Within a week my eye stated clearing.  Now at almost 2 weeks of taking a collagen supplement it nearly cleared up.  Wish my Dr. had told me this months ago and suggested I give it a try.

Great to hear you're doing better Steve.

However, just to clarify for others, PVD does not stand for 'Post Ventricular Disorder', but rather 'Posterior Vitreous Detachment, where the vitreous at the back of one's eye pulls or tears away from the back of the eye.

This is typically seen as normal as one gets older, but if one sees a rush of DARK (spotty or wavy or both) floaters, then one needs to get to the ER or an eye doctor ASAP, because it could mean you've experienced a vitreous hemorrhage -- bleeding in the eye from the tiny veins that lead to the retina -- and if so, then the eye doc will use a laser to close up the tear in the vitreous. The floaters should typically resolve and even disappear within 2 weeks or so, but sometimes it can take 2-3 months to be completely reabsorbed.

Hope this is helpful.

Hi all,

did some of you guys get vision problems like visual snow after the jab? I have massive vision problems since my first Pfizer jab 6 months ago. All eye tests came back normal. Visual snow fits most to my symptoms. Also I have photosensitivity. I am so frustrated. Did someone get rid of this after a while?

@aurelia I don't have visual snow but just floaters. Although have seen a few reports of visual snow after vax on a FB group and on Reddit sub for r/vaccinelonghaulers.  remember seeing some report resolution after months. Hope yours does soon. I would also search this forum as well.

Lill,

You said you were having eye problems, you thought. Don't sit on this. call your eye doctor. And, if you opthomologist isn't proactive for your Vertigo, find one via vestibular.org.   It never occurred to me to do that until last week myself.  Or call them and ask how to find the list if you don't know how.

Find a Dr. who is familiar with your Vertigo Dizzy related diagnosis.

Don't get medical advice from me, or a friend; call a professional and make an appointment.     Let us know when you do and we'd love to follow along with you. We are all learning.   Pat

Hello All,

I am a 56-year-old female and experienced blurry and cloudy vision the day after my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine on 11/14/2021. It only lasted for two hours, but came back three days in a row a week later. I went to the doctor and they didn’t find an issue by looking in my eye, but they dilated my eye and took a photo of my retina and discovered that my eye tissue is pulling on the retina of both eyes.  They have diagnosed me thus far with Vitreomacular Traction Syndrome. I go see a retina specialist on December 18 for further diagnosis and treatment.

Make sure your ophthalmologist dilates your eye and checks to make sure there is no problems with your retina because my internal doctor was not able to detect a problem initially, but I insisted to see an ophthalmologist. I never had any previous issues with my eyes and it’s so strange that I began having problems the day after the second dose of Pfizer and it’s in both eyes. If I had it to do all over again I would not have taken the vaccine at all.

Also, my cousin a 65-year-old male lost his vision in his right eye 2 months after the Moderna vaccine. He had to have surgery to get his sight back and repair the torn retina.
