After 4 years with a vestibular disorder (still working on getting a clear diagnosis), I’m working on making peace with this body and accepting that I need to use different tools and strategies. I have always loved walking and hiking, but I find myself not doing those things because they can be uncomfortable and scary. I think hiking poles and/or a cane might help, depending on the environment, but I’ve never used them.
Does anyone here have experience, advice, recommendations?
