@thenystagmusDuring the worst times, I eat crackers, dry cereal, & of all things, Sun Chips. 😃
Hmmm, yes, sometimes it's easier to stomach something salty ...and with low range BP I don't worry about that. ☺️
Hi Everyone- I hate to be another person to add to the list and i'm not really feeling up to reading all the posts at the moment.. I'm hoping there is some common elements here and would love some reassurances if there are.
Had the AZ vaccine about 3 weeks ago and felt dizzy on and off from about 3 days after. I didn't realize i was dizzy and was being all sloppy and forgetful while working. I then realized just how messed up my brain was and took it a little easier. I started taking iron pills on and off to hopefully help thinking it was low iron but alas it's back today and living with low iron i know the difference. 🙁 It'll be 4 weeks on Saturday since my vaccine and I'm really hoping this don't stick much longer.
I am no stranger to dizziness and got over a very bad stint of it over 10 years ago. I usually don't realize what is wrong as my brain has somewhat adjusted and I normally just feel 'off'. I have noticed that since my issues 10 years ago when I do get a cold or something, I can get dizzy for a day or two prior. This however is pretty constant and pretty intense.
Hope everyone here can calm my nerves. I am following up with my dr. tomorrow as I've had enough but worried about the blood clot concern. I don't have a headache or all the other warning symptoms but do feel a bit of pain around my head.. a-little foggy and spiny feeling so hard to place.
Any good home remedies? Advice? suggestions on what to do to manage?
I never had a fear of COVID, I was pressured into getting the shot because the media told so many lies and instilled fear into the masses. I wish I never got it.
Someone in the forum actually suggested raising taxes as a solution to the side effects and putting more money into the federal government’s pockets.
Our healthcare plans were turned to crap years ago with large deductibles. Remember when you could get by with just a co-pay? Not sure if those plans even exist anymore.
I wish I was still able to have a plan like that because I am going to appointments every week now and spending crazy money out of pocket because of a vaccine that someone my age (38) shouldn’t even be getting if they are healthy.
Raising taxes on Amazon is the answer? Really? I hope you’re aware that the costs just get passed on to the consumer. Have you noticed when gasoline gets taxed at higher rates the price at the pump goes up? SMH
I wish I'd not gotten it, also ...knowing what I now know. Yeah, that's true about taxation costs getting passed on... How about have the vaccine manufacturers pay a fee to go into a treatment fund?? Didn't they end up having the tobacco companies do something like that? Oh wait, maybe that was for developing programs to warn people about the dangers of their product? Never mind, that would never go over... 🙄
Well, a little ways into my journey into this Realm of Dizzy, I could see that my original Medicare insurance was quite inadequate for the expenses I was starting to have, so I consulted with an agent and got a much better Medicare Advantage policy for very little additional cost and a lot of additional benefits. I knew I was going to have to get a PCP, but I was only seeing an APRN at a low cost clinic and that wasn't enough, so fine.band I ended up with a great primary doc. The only policy I could change to midyear (through a special loophole) had a large network for all care, fine again. My agent thought the rest of my providers were in this network. Today I got a call from my vestibular PT saying they are not in that network. So, insurance can sure define things. I'm thankful to have it and I'm amazed that there's no yearly deductible and no copay to see my PCP and reasonable copays other places, but now I'll be waiting the next 3 weeks for the ENG test my ENT wants before offering diagnosis or treatment. His orders do indicate vestibular therapy, if the ENG eval indicates it, so I may get to resume it afterwards. What a dizzying merry-go-round! 🥴
If anyone is interested. I ran a quick database search of the VAERS and came up with this. I honestly don't know the context of the numbers but it appears to me that the side effects we're experiencing is not insignificant. Another reason to self report on VAERS so your side effects can be counted.
Yes, very interested! I looked at that database once and came up nothing intelligible, quickly. 🙃 Please keep us updated on these figures as more reports are totaled in.
Those are incredible figures - much higher than any I've seen reported anywhere else! The vertigo reports are lower than I'd guess they would be, but how many people know what that term even means? (My spellcheck doesn't know how to guess it.) Most people would probably be inclined to just call it dizziness...
Hi @lpycb42, I go to sleep with my low cost "heating pad". A piece of flannel sewed into a rectangle filled with uncooked rice. You can heat it in the microwave, but can give yourself a very serious third degree burn if you overheat it. (Don't use it anywhere on your body where sensation is lacking!) Heat it in 30 second increments, checking temp after each. I only heat it for 1-1.5 minutes in mine.
@sgorey Im trying to figure out the same. It’s hard to track and connect to past posts and sometimes reply.
Hi, It took me a while to find my way around here ...and you may already know - if you tap on a person's name at the top of their post, you end up where you can scroll down and tap a double speech bubble and find beginning excerpts for their previous posts ...tapping on one of those will take you to that post. Sorry if my attempt to explain is confusing? 🤔 - Sassafras
@helpimdizzy Hi, yes, pretty much. I went in with a migraine and on/off dizziness that I'd had for a few days prior and within an hour after the vaccine the headache and dizziness had gone. I realise it's early days yet but I had the vaccine 4pm on Monday and it's now 2.45am on Wednesday and so far I've not had any dizziness or headache, even after getting out of bed. It sounds too good to be true, I know, and I've had good days before so I'm well aware how quickly things can turn around.
Hi Amy, I also have chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia and was on the fence about getting the vaccine and then I got Covid on April 4th. In bed the first week with body aches, fever, chills and the worst headache ever. By the third week I was still experiencing ringing in my ears and just felt off. Then one day I woke up and I felt fine. Tested negative, so I booked my first Pfizer shot on May 4th. It’s been two weeks and the first 3 days I had a fever, headache, body aches. That stop after 3 days but the vertigo and tinnitus has been debilitating. I just started driving again yesterday and I have an appointment with my ENT tomorrow. Am I getting a second shot? NO WAY!! As far as I’m concerned, the trials were on healthy individuals so they could get it approved for which I think is still emergency use. We (people with underlying health issues) are the trial. It’s also very disturbing to read that people who were otherwise healthy ended up with these inner ear/balance issues. I feel like making my health decisions have come down to playing Russian Roulette. If I get the shot, this could happen but if I get Covid that could happen. Well, I got Covid and survived. I’d rather take my chances with one shot, then erase what little progress I made with my fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. Best of luck to all who are experiencing side effects and those deciding should they or shouldn’t they get the vaccine.
@helpimdizzy Just to add, my dizziness began a day after my first vaccine and my migraine type headaches which I am not new to, became more regular lasting 4/5 days at a time. The dizziness always accompanied the headaches. I didn't feel well enough to go out and haven't driven my car in months. I have neglected visiting my mother as often as I would have liked because of it. I have had good days before when I have thought I was over all of this but symptoms returned the next day, sometimes worse than before.
I have not had vertigo and only slight nausea from time to time.I
Like I said, keeping my fingers crossed, that's all I can do.
@thenystagmus did you get any word on your Ana results by chance? I hope you’re doing well!
...no abnormal tests after looking at: Immune tests - IgM, IgA, IgG. Thyroid and Vitamin D tests (took prescription VitD) showed my levels have now raised back up into the normal ranges. And my ANA screen came back negative which I was relieved to learn, since a positive screen can cause a hunt for other indicators of autoimmune issues. I had a borderline positive one many years ago that became negative over time. So, I was thankful that a number of problems got ruled out.
Thanks for checking back with me! I posted the above 3 days ago. It's nice to get normal results that don't show concerning issues - things get "ruled out" as they say in medicine talk, but I still want to know if there's something to call this stuff, more than "Adverse Reaction to Other Vaccine", which is what I was told early on.
I finished the last day of my 6 day Medrol taper today. I haven't had headache or sinus pressure the last few days and that does seem to keep my dizziness tamped down some. I don't know if this is due to the Medrol, or this would have been my course anyway. I've gotten used to this stuff receding and then returning, so I'm just walking it out at this point, day by day. I hope you're improving and will continue to! 🙂🙏
I've been looking at the Yellow Card Scheme in the UK where people report their side effects to the covid vaccines, they do a Case Series Daily Analysis Print and the one I looked at was dated 6 May, 21 for the Astrazeneca vaccine. Some interesting facts:

@kiko99 Hey Kiko
Yes Im 2 weeks after my Astra Zenica Vaccine and Im also experiencing strange feelings in my cheeks, its like all the blood is draining from them.
Tends to be worse in the mornings for some reason.
Im interested to know how you are now ? Are you still struggling ?
Hi
This is concerning but I'm glad I found this forum and know im not alone with these symptoms ! 45 year old male in UK never had vertigo or dizziness a few weeks after 1st Pfizer shot a weird feeling just came on when moving head the dizziness like walking on a ship. This went on and off for weeks had second jab within 2 days was feeling this again last night was worse though woke up and turned over and room was spinning like someone mentioned in an earlier post never experienced that before bit unsettling and feel rough and brain foggy today. Wtf did they give us ?! Im at the GP today and will mention it but I'm preparing to be dismissed. Are people getting over this ?
