I ordered new contact lenses before getting the vaccine and didn’t get them until recently. I wouldn’t recommend it. Dizzy + Dizzy = Too much work for the brain.

That makes sense. I know my eyes and brain are working hard, trying to deal with my inner ear gone wonky! I had to cancel my appointment for an initial consult with a cataract surgeon about a week after I got the Moderna vaccine. I was still having vertigo and nystagmus at that point. Now I don't know if my vision has continued to get worse because my cataracts are progressing or if this reaction had something to do with it...?

Got my 2nd shot. After the 3rd day severe dizziness and nausea I had to call an abulance it was so bad . They left me in the lobby for 3 hours so it went away but it’s back even while typing this 2 weeks later I’m sitting here with blurred vision and my head is spinning but if this is what’s the outcome is don’t like this one bit! Anyone else?

@smileyoer Uou have any updates?

I had same response from my ENT. He put me on steroids for wk.

We will see!

Hang in there

Hey Jack,

I was by a neurologist specialist this week. He said that it could be an allergic reaction which makes disorder in the brain.

He found that I have nystagmus, because of off balance. And now I have new symptoms my lips numbing. He said that it could be also from brain inflammation.

I got antihistamine and brain circulation meds. My headache disappeared, this numb appears more often now. Dizziness still exist.

I don't know that this vaccine cause allergic reaction or it act like we got the covid itself.

I have fear what else can come...?!

Hopefully when this spike go from our body out the symptoms will disappear too.

I had 2nd dose of pfizer shot on April 17th. On May 12th (3 weeks and 4 days later) I started having double vision. Lasting for 7 days. Right eye lid drooping also. Went to eye Dr. He referred me to a nuro ophthalmologist. He recommended a brain MRI and blood work. waiting for results. Male 53 years old. no medical history. except high blood pressure.

Update:

I am a little bit confused now. Sometimes I feel much better but now it worse again. I thought that it will be from now better and then it hit me back...

Have anyone here have felt some numb?

My neurologist said that it can be normal when brain or cognitive system have some disorder but it is really scary...

Takin meds, and then trying another meds maybe they will help. Will this go to end?

I am quite young but living with these symptoms for longer term makes me total nervous...

Ive finally gotten an appointment with a GP who believes at this moment my symptoms are as a result of a Vestibular insult...strange phrase.

After researching this I found the following info...

In some patients the damaged vestibular nerve returns to normal function within four to six weeks. Others may experience unsteadiness for several months. It is very rare for someone to have more than one attack of vestibular neuritis, and most people recover completely.

For whatever reason it would appear that the vaccine has caused trauma or inflamation to our ear causing our symptoms.

I am an Ultra Marathon runner (meaning I run races over 50km long) I have one planned for 10 days time in fact.

My symptoms after my first vaccine havent stopped me from being able to run thank god...indeed I seem fine whilst im running...but the moment I stop moving all my.symptoms hit me like a tonne of bricks.

As others have said I experience the tighness around the back of the head, the tinitis, dizzyness upon moving head certain ways, general disorientation.

It seems the brain needs to recalibrate itself from the info it recieves from the ear....and also the eyes.

So in my opinion the more you can get out and move and get the brain, ears, eyes to work then the quicker and better your recovery should be.

I.e give your senses as much stimulation as you can to retrain/recalibrate everything.

Ill post an update after ive seen the GP...right now as I type this my head is tight, my ears are buzzing and I feel dizzy.

Im 16 days now since vaccine and 2 weeks since these symptoms started.

So Im hoping in another 2 weeks I should start to see some improvement...if im lucky.

@mamayoung

Congratulations and thank you for sharing. I am on a similar regime but using a supplemental antiviral plus a turmeric supplement. For the first time in nine weeks since my second Pfizer (no reaction to the first) I am almost back to normal. 90 percent or a little less. (I posted a few days ago exactly what I am taking.)

we will all get there!!! Hang in their guys and listen to your gut!!!

@sarahl

After seeing my PCP twice, ENT twice and then visiting the ER once I also landed in the office of a special chiropractor (called an atlas orthogonist). X-rays of my upper cervical spine showed a 10mm misalignment of my atlas bone (C1 vetebrae-basically the bone your head sits on). I am now treated by her twice a week to realign my spine. She agreed that the vaccine was my trigger and that all of the inflammation, coupled with my atlas misalignment, produced all the symptoms I was having (constant dizziness, headaches, pressure in my face, issues with my vision, ear fullness and ringing, neck pain and jaw pain). She was really the first person to connect ALL of the dots for me and agreed that the vaccine played a role in triggering me. She said it’s very common for people with dizziness issues to have atlas and axis misalignment and that the misalignments of these top vertebrae can put pressure on your nerves, brainstorm and spinal cord, and inhibit proper blood flow and CSF creating issues like we have experienced. I think this misalignment is the reason I’ve had two dizzy spells in the past 30 years and is also the reason why my body is unable to calm this inflammation post vaccine. I’ve seen her for 4 weeks now, and feel more normal than I have since this all started 11.5 weeks ago. Board certified atlas orthogonists are hard to come by, but I would highly recommend at least getting X-rays and getting checked out for a misalignment. I’ve also learned that atlas orthogonal is often used to treat Ménière’s disease AND migraines which I know many people on here suffer from. I hope this message helps some on you.

I received my second dose of Moderna a six weeks ago.  I’ve had vertigo ever since.  I feel tired, double vision, dizzy, confused, and just not right.  I kept waiting for the feeling to pass but as soon as it starts to get better it just comes back.  I was diagnosed with Vertigo and prescribed Meclizyne but it didn’t help.  I backed my truck into a pole at the gas station I was so dizzy.  I do feel pressure in my ears and ringing also.  The Epley Manuever helped a little bit.  I have a hard time at work and have had to take extra time off.

I finally found some relief from the dizziness. Supplementing with 1200mg of calcium has made my dizziness feel better. I used the Calcium 1200mg & Vitamin D by Nature's Bounty from Amazon. Before I would feel dizzy all the time and while even going to the restroom but now I don't feel the dizziness while using the restroom. After using the calcium for 3 days I found relief so I googled to see if there is any connection with calcium and dizziness. I found a study that says Calcium Supplementation Appears to Help Avoid Vertigo Recurrence. This is not medical advice, this is just what helped me.

At 10 weeks of symptoms last week, I tried a 6 day Medrol taper. My sinus swelling and headache went away during the med, but rebounded afterwards. Now at 11 weeks, I'm starting to experience pressure in my affected ear also for the first time. Of course, all that amps up my dizziness and nausea.

I usually react to meds, so I'm only adding one at a time. I'm going to try OTC steroid nasal spray Flonase next. I'm still not suspecting sinus infection, so at this time I won't try doxycycline that my PCP offered.

Trying to take a measured approach and not let waves of symptoms result in outsized waves of mental and emotional reactions. Pushing on, staying the course on this journey - it's good to be doing it with everyone needing to be here... 🙏

I've been reading this forum for weeks now and thought it was about time I add my story.

I'm 32 years old, female, of average health. I received the JJ vaccine on 4/12. Within 2 days I started getting brain fog which I thought was just normal. But that only increased and then I started to get very lightheaded and dizzy (about 4 days out). My limbs were also tingly and numb, particularly on my left side (the side I got the shot). I went to the ER one week post-vaccine since I was so scared. Blood work, EKG and head scan came back normal. I followed up with primary doc twice after that and they just basically told me to wait it out to see if it goes away.

It's been over 5 weeks now since the vaccine and I still feel lightheaded most of the time. I also have this feeling of fullness/swollen on the left side of my head/face, kinda behind my left eye, making my eyes very tired and strained. I'm also just a bit unsteady on my feet, almost like I'm tipsy.

I do find that alternating (and slightly overlapping) ibuprofen and acetaminophen helps a little, as does drinking copious amounts of water. I MIGHT be starting to feel better these last few days, but I honestly think I'm just getting used to feeling constantly lightheaded.

Very thankful for everyone else for sharing their stories, makes me feel not so alone. I hope everyone updates us on if/when their symptoms disappear, I know I will! Hope we all feel better soon!

I'm sorry you're going through this. This must be causing you a lot of concern, wondering what's going on. I'm glad you're getting some tests to try to get it sorted out! I'm one of many others here having a variety of symptoms following Covid vaccination. Please keep us updated as you find out more. I hope you recover well and soon 🙏
