Hello @tabby - I'm glad your dizziness and headache have let up! Thanks for sharing the things you noted. Reminded me of when I was a young adult my grandmother used to send me cards with informational and  inspirational newspaper clippings enclosed.☺️

Tonight I read someone's upbeat account of recovering from long Covid over a long 6 month period. They had learned to rest and recover and to enjoy small things that had nothing to do with the effort they had no energy to put forth. Called it post-Covid euphoria!

I realized it's been a long time since I did something enjoyable and felt up to enjoying it. I made a note: This needs to change! Best wishes 😏

@jasonedwarda Hi Jason, there is an article on visual insult on the VeDA site, you may have seen it but thought I'd mention it just in case - Visual preference and Vestibular Deficiency.😊

@thenystagmus Hi Sassafras, what a lovely thing for your grandmother to do.

I'm always reading articles and making notes, I have a journal where I jot everything down. Sometimes they help me particularly when feeling anxious, I read read through for reassurance. It's sort of become a hobby of mine, in fact I recently bought another journal because my other is full.

Thank you for your good wishes, I am feeling better but still getting weird head symptoms, still not confident of feel well enough to drive though.

All we can do is try to plod on as best we can and make the most of these "good" moments even if they are short lived, gives us a glimmer of hope in any case.😊

@schwark4 How refreshing to read about a medical person actually accepting that the vaccine played a part in your symptoms, sounds like you have found someone who is understanding of your issues. I hope your treatment is successful and would be interested to read your updates.😊

@strangedizzyman01 Hi, I think I know what you mean when you describe the type of dizziness and head weirdness you're experiencing. I'm going on 13 weeks, had this type of dizziness for 12 weeks after my first vaccine. Had my second vaccine on Monday of this week and although I'm not getting the dizziness since, I'm still getting weird head feelings, almost like the threat of dizziness,, brain fog and aches and pains all over particular!y neck, shoulder, ears and jaw. Hope you feel better soon and let us know how you get on.

Thank you.  It has now been exactly 1 week since I received the first dose of Moderna vaccine.  So I would say 5 days since the start of the dizziness.  Today for much of the day, I was hovering around 10% dizziness, but as I write this post, I'm back up to 30-40% dizziness.  I have not really noticed any pains in neck, shoulder, ears, jaw, so thank you for letting me know of this symptom.  I suppose I could have it worse.

I don't really know much time I should "give it" before going into the emerg department to check things out.  I've been thinking about going in on Monday morning (that would be 9 days from onset of symptoms), but given some folks are saying they've been unwell for 12-13 weeks, perhaps I should give it even longer than that.

@tabby thanks Tabby...yes I had seen that. I didnt realise there were so many different types of vestibular disorders too.

Until I see my GP next week and then hopefully get reffered to a specialist its hard to know which of the varioua vestibular types im suffering with.

The Tinitis has come on strong over the last few days and seems to now be constant...which is awful for me as I make music and own a record label so I need my ears to finction.

I am glad that Im still able to run though as running and music ARE my life...cant believe this has the potential to ruin both.

My symptoms seem to be a lot less severe than others on here are experiencing potentially because my ears have been trained over decades to pick out things in music and my balance and eye / ear coordination due to all the running through technical terrain...maybe ??

I just hope it gets better Tabby.

Wish I had never had the jab

Hi,

so pleased I found this forum.

my symptoms started 2 weeks after first pzier vaccine in February extreme dizziness pain in left ear eye and head. This continued daily for / weeks I visited GP who said she thought it was a sinus infection would clear up on it’s own.

a week later I come down with a chest infection I have asthma put on steroids and it actually cleared the dizziness up.

second jab, exactly two weeks after it’s started again woke up last Saturday felt like I had drank a bottle of vodka crashing into walls. Since then I feel constantly light headed, spent all of last night awake with throbbing pain in eye and ear. Had ringing in my left ear as well as on off deafness.

I have messaged GP yesterday awaiting a reply.

I feel exhausted there have been days where I am just falling asleep sat up. I slept all day yesterday. I am an nhs student mother of two I don’t have time to feel like this but it’s getting worse.

Wish I had never got this vaccine I am at the point of being unable to drive my car , not complete my uni work I am short with my children because I feel so unwell. I am also experiencing pain down my left side. All these head pains body pains all down left side which is the side the vaccine went into.

I feel like the GP is going to fob me off again but I can not continue like this.

Morning, This is my first post. I stumbled across this site after googling the after effects of the covid vaccine.

My background story is that I was diagnosed with Migraine Variant Balance Disorder a year and a half ago. I changed my diet and take daily 50mg Nortriptyline, 400mg Magnesium and 400mg Riboflavin. It took me about a year to find a balance of the medication, as to where I could function enough to feel like I could manage my daily life without thinking I was going mad.

I had my first vaccine 14/05 Pfizer and 2 days later my MVBD symptoms where back to where I was 18 months ago. I'm hoping that this is just a flair up and will sort itself out in a few weeks.

I'm awaiting a call from my GP this afternoon (not holding out much hope as I've found most uk GP's have no understanding of MVBD)

Will keep you all updated with my progress.

This is week 3 post onset of side effects. Vertigo, migraines, dizzy, fever, nausea, left side of head congested and ear clogged.  Today I am 70% recovered. I only have lingering dizziness when moving side to side. Forward motion no longer causes intense dizziness, just slight. I can turn my head with slight dizziness. I have not taken any meds this week (ibuprofen 600mg 3x/day). Time has been the consistent treatment for me. I expect further progress on next Friday’s report.

After weeks of suffering and having no idea what’s going on with my body I think I’m starting to get to the bottom of this. My latest hypothesis is that it is a overloaded lymphatic system issue that is not able to properly flush out the toxins out of our bodies. Here is an article that I hope might turn useful for some of you and bring you relief - some of the tips have already been discussed here (acupuncture/exercise) so this further supports my hypothesis.

@anita1962Wow, sounds like you have been through a lot.  Thanks for explaining.  It seems logical that you would get the vertigo with a preexisting vestibular problem.  Kind of surprising that the ENT did not acknowledge the vaccine as an exacerbating factor.  Seems like some doctors are seeing it, some not.  Sounds like you are doing better, though - very glad to hear that!

@jess2art

Has anyone whom received the Pfizer vaccine ever have or heard of anyone having adverse side effects or allergic reaction such as severe chest pain, chest burning, stomach upset including cramps, vomiting, ulcers and/or severe weakness in muscles, aches and pains, increase arthritic activity. Anything noticeable after receipt of being fully vaccinated?

Hi, I have been checking this thread and would like to share my experience too.

I took BioNtech Pfizer vaccine, 1st dose, on April 25th. I felt itchyness on the body and tidyness the 1st day, 2nd and 3rd was just shivering, covid arm. But 4th day I was having difficulty in breathing, lightheadedness, headache and fast heartbeat, so immediately went to ER and was hospitalized for 3 days. i have chronic asthma btw, but as I got older, I did not have any asthma attack anymore. jist some wheezing after long exercise or when I have a cold. They did CT scan for my lungs, head, also did blood test. Lungs and head is clear, no bleedings for the brain, blood pressure normal too and heartbeat was normal. Blood test resulted in low level of white blood cells but that's all so I was discharged. It' been 3.5 weeks after my vac and I still get this difficulty in breathing, not headache but weird sensation in the head, chest pain(like a sharp pain, but it doesn't last long, like on and off). I got scared again so i went to hospital yesterday to do CT for brain and lungs, but it was clear and all fine. Blood test was okay too. But I don't have any idea where I get this difficulty in breathing, on and off chest pain/heaviness, weird sensation in the head. I woke up yesterday feeling weak and tired as well. For in case, doctor gave me pain killer and Xanax (to calm me) and I am starting to think anxiety attack as all of the CT results are ok, but I never had an anxiety attack or stress that can cause physical symptoms so I am so confused.

Reason why I think it's anxiety attack cause I get nervous when I think I got blood clot/hemorrhage/heart attack from the vaccine, makes me think I might die.

Anybody have the same symptoms?

@strangedizzyman01 Hi, These vaccines seem to have stirred up symptoms that many of us have never experienced before, some here already have pre-existing vestibular issues and some, including myself have not. There appears to be many various side/adverse reactions that affect just about every part of the body that people have reported on the Yellow Card Scheme in the UK. This is available for all to see. I think most people here share similar symptoms comprising headaches, dizziness, vertigo, tinnitus, brain fog and more. We all seem to have at least one of two of these symptoms. I'm wondering if using your computer screen is exacerbating your dizziness because at the time of typing you mention it had increased. Using screens and sitting for long periods of time at a computer can make you feel dizzy and can even give you vertigo when you stand up.  With regards to seeing a health professional I think you must go with your gut feeling and do whatever you think is best. Some people have seen their doctor and started some form of treatment although these treatments have varied somewhat. Some have decided to go it alone. My own doctor gave me prochlorperazine but they didn't help. I wanted my doctor to know that I believed my symptoms were from the vaccine but he didn't acknowledge that they were. The more people who report them the sooner they will have to start recognising them, as far as I am concerned. I had 12 weeks of on/off dizziness and this has abated since having my second vaccine on Monday but I am still getting weird head feelings. There are some success stories here too for people who have seen their symptoms disappear even after several weeks so we can take hope from that. I wish there was a magic wand but it seems we are each finding how to deal with these issues in our own way. Hope you find relief soon.😊
