@jasonedwarda Hi Jason, like I've said in previous posts, these vaccines seem to have started up symptoms some of us have never experienced before. It can be scary but when I read other stories here it is also a relief to know that others share the same symptoms and that some have completely recovered from them. I had tinnitus before the vaccines and I've been to ENT but they couldn't find anything wrong. My hearing was normal. My tinnitus is definitely worse since the vaccines and I am more sensitive to noise. I hope your visit to your doctor provide you with the answers you need particularly with your type of work which I would think needs you to be fully functional in that department. It's good you can still run though because exercise can help with any anxiety this may be causing you. Best wishes😊

How many of you guys have tinitus ?

Ive done some research and found

Autoimmune Inner Ear Disease (AIED)

Matches my symptoms and guess what...its caused by an automimmune response where your immune system attacks the inner ear and leads to permanent hearing loss and increased balance problems.

I pray to god I dont have this.

@jasonedwarda Hi Jason, it's so easy to turn to Dr Google and come up with all sorts of diagnosis which may be completely wrong.  If you look too much into this you will eventually convince yourself you have a serious illness and worry yourself sick unneccessarily. It will bring on anxiety and stress and make you very ill. It happened to me when I did just that after being incorrectly diagnosed with a heart murmur. I lost two stone in weight over a short period of time and it was all for nothing. You have a doctor's appointment next week so if I were you I'd go from there and try my best to carry on as normally as I can until then. 😊

Hello. This is my first post.

My background: Female 34 years old. No prior history of vestibular issues. Besides sore arm, no other side effect from 1st dose Moderna. I got my 2nd dose on 4/28. I got very mild symptoms of headache, low grade fever, body ache, chills. It all went away after 24 hrs. A few days later, I got what felt like a stye in my eye, I did not see a doc, it got pretty bad where I had a hard time opening my eye. During this time I felt on/off feelings of being off balance, sometimes lasting a few mins, sometimes hours, and once in a while the whole day. This is made worse when I have bad sleep, which is rare. The best way I can describe this feeling is like putting on glasses for the first time - I can see, but it just doesn't feel right, I felt like I was moving my body but it's not entirely mine. When I move my head, there's feelings of off balance, a bit of dizziness. I also have faint brain fog, a bit harder to concentrate than normal.

I went to an eye doc, got my eyes checked, everything is normal. I got my annual physical and told my doc about this, she ran many blood tests. I'm healthy in terms of all body/organ functions. I also went to see an ENT, I found the earliest appointment on ZocDoc, it was a very short conversation, he looked at my ears, throat, and did a balance test (touch nose with eyes open and then closed, walk a tight rope). All normal. He didn't ask too many questions but he asked me what happened at the onset of my symptoms, I told him about Moderna and the stye. He said he's seen a few patients that have similar complaints after getting the vaccine. He prescribed me Prednisone (40 mg for 4 days, 30 mg 2 days, 20 mg for 2 days, 10 mg for 2 days), it's a steroid which is supposed to ease inflammation but also suppresses the immune system. He also sent me this link to a Home Vestibular Exercise: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epJ1luFyF2o&t=30s He said I should do this exercise which could let the brain know to fix itself.

I did the exercise today. It felt ok afterwards but still had faint symptoms. I probably shouldn't expect this to go away after one exercise. But I'm going to do this for a few days and see if it helps. And if not, I'll take the Prednisone as a last resort since I don't 100% trust this doc and taking medicine when I don't even know what's wrong with me just doesn't feel right. Wish me luck!

Wanted to do a quick update. Today I was not dizzy the full day for the first time in 2 weeks. The past few days I only got dizzy after having coffee. I was expecting it to hit me today but dizziness never came. I was feeling more nausea today but got better after a smoothie and a little food throughout the day.

The other thing I did differently before my coffee was take 500mg of vitamin C which has been suggested by others. Drinking lots of water and eating healthier might also be helping.

Hoping to stay on trend of getting better each day. Will follow up after my ENT appointment next week.

I received the first doze of Pfizer vaccine on April 24th and within 3 days I experienced strong dizziness almost faint and then the vertigo started. It’s been 3 weeks and I’m still struggling with dizziness and inner ear pressure. I’ve started acupuncture, chinese traditional medicine and a natural organic diet. I didn’t think these symptoms would last this long and I’m just seeing that people have been struggling with this. Has it gone away for anyone? I was due for a second vaccine this week but I have opted out of it. I don’t think these side effects are normal. I feel so foggy, dizzy, and hard to concentrate. The dizziness also fluctuates from severe to mild.

@teresawarren40

Hi Terrsa~ I came back on today, 35 days after my first vertigo episode ever(six days after my first Moderna shot) to say that I woke up today and NO VERTIGO!! YAY! I know that you're keeping track of when people get better and I was getting close to the average 😉

I tried this maneuver yesterday.   "half somersault maneuver for vertigo"  on YouTube

I did the maneuver once and felt super nauseous, waited 15 minutes and did it again, no dizziness (wait, what??), I was cautiously optimistic and went to bed. What, no vertigo when switching positions?? I knew for sure it was gone when I woke up this morning and did my normal yoga practice that I hadn't been able to do (and was wondering if I could ever do it again).
Words cannot express the joy I am feeling to be ME again!!!

I hope this helps somebody else!!!!

This is a link to a very recent article about sudden hearing loss & associated symptoms following Covid vaccination. There's a button you can tap to view the comments following the article, some of which detail symptoms being experienced that are mentioned in the article.

[Repost, idk why, my original post wasn't posted]

Hi, I have been checking this thread and would like to share my experience too.

I took BioNtech Pfizer vaccine, 1st dose, on April 25th. I felt itchyness on the body and tidyness the 1st day, 2nd and 3rd was just shivering, covid arm. But 4th day I was having difficulty in breathing, lightheadedness, headache and fast heartbeat, so immediately went to ER and was hospitalized for 3 days. i have chronic asthma btw, but as I got older, I did not have any asthma attack anymore. jist some wheezing after long exercise or when I have a cold. They did CT scan for my lungs, head, also did blood test. Lungs and head is clear, no bleedings for the brain, blood pressure normal too and heartbeat was normal. Blood test resulted in low level of white blood cells but that's all so I was discharged. It' been 3.5 weeks after my vac and I still get this difficulty in breathing, not headache but weird sensation in the head, chest pain(like a sharp pain, but it doesn't last long, like on and off). I got scared again so i went to hospital yesterday to do CT for brain and lungs, but it was clear and all fine. Blood test was okay too. But I don't have any idea where I get this difficulty in breathing, on and off chest pain/heaviness, weird sensation in the head. I woke up yesterday feeling weak and tired as well. For in case, doctor gave me pain killer and Xanax (to calm me) and I am starting to think anxiety attack as all of the CT results are ok, but I never had an anxiety attack or stress that can cause physical symptoms so I am so confused.

Reason why I think it's anxiety attack cause I get nervous when I think I got blood clot/hemorrhage/heart attack from the vaccine, makes me think I might die.

Anybody have the same symptoms?

OK I had to do a follow up post after today. Earlier I said I had no dizziness which is true. I think I'm completely over that. However, today I had an intense panic attack. I have a history of it from years ago so I know exactly what to do and what it was. This is a very strange coincidence that all the sudden I'm having all this stuff happen. Dr of course has no comment on whether its vaccine related. I noticed others having tachycardia and panic attacks on this site too. Can anyone tell me if they are still having problems with heart rate and/or panic attacks? BP is still high but coming down each day slowly.

Hi there!  I just found this site and am so grateful, but still trying to figure out how to use the forum.  I’ve been struggling with headaches, dizziness, and anxiety for the past 4 weeks.  I got J&J vaccine on March 30th.  I had some vascular issues around week 2, but it flared up my MAV on week 4.  I have a 15 year history of dizziness/lightheaded ness/migraines, and the vaccine appears to have awakened my issues full force after I’ve had them fairly under control for 4 years.  I’d love any help regarding how to use this forum to read full posts and threads and to connect with people.  I’ve been feeling pretty helpless, as no one seems to understand and doctors aren’t sure what to do.  Very few things are helping me, but I have gotten the anxiety mostly under control.  Would love some help! Thanks so much!

@haydena2

hi there! Do you have a history of dizziness or vertigo?  I have migraine associated vertigo.....or so I’ve been told after years of specialists & tests......and the vaccine seems to have caused a major inflammation response in my body and I’ve been having headaches, severe sinus pressure, full ears, and dizziness for the past 4 weeks.  I’m looking for others who may be experiencing the same or similar, and hoping someone has seen a doctor that has been able to help them.  I’m currently taking OTC meds to keep things under control, but I’m praying someone has some info on how to get things bank to my usual baseline.  This has been a tough few weeks.  Thanks for any thoughts!
