@thenystagmus

It returned shortly after I noticed. I was online and concentrating when I noticed it. I checked it out by putting my hands by my ears and moving them forward to determine when I could see them and it took at most five mins. Sorry I recalled it was you  must have been in another post 😔

Not a problem! I've got plenty of visual symptoms, some I'm only starting to put my finger on. Learning about oscillopsia? from nystagmus? now... Not fun to have both vestibular and vision stuff going on, since those are 2 out of 3 (or 4?, I forget) ways we are oriented in our position in space. But if vestibular goes wonky, I'm learning it can throw visual into conniptions! 🥴

@thenystagmus I meant heard as taken seriously by our physicians that keep telling us this is not vaccine related. I decided to take the vaccine because all my friends did and I wanted to finally be able to see them and my parents, I am unable to do either at the moment. Glad you find humor in the "heard immunity". Just read an article today that Covid and vaccination is something we will have to deal with for years to come.

Yeah, I know what you meant... My humour is rather wry I'd say, but a bit therapeutic for me. I give my anger some leash, but then try to reign it in. Don't want to get et alive by it!

Yes, I'm afraid Covid-19 and all its trappings will be a consuming issue for many for some time to come... Gotta learn how to surf it, I guess. I live in a land-locked area of the US, but once bought a little surfboard refrigerator magnet with "Surf (name of my state)" on it because it struck me funny. 😏 I wanna learn to do this with what I'm dealing with ...staying topside the waves as much as possible...! 🏄🌊

With all the horrific side effects people have suffered as a result of this crap vaccine, I think there will be many more refusers in the future.  I can't imagine anyone who suffered the severe side effects this time around would be willing to risk that again.

I found this amusing--our idiot governor in this state started a vaccine-bribe campaign--and the rate of vaccination has gone DOWN since.

@thenystagmus

that’s crazy. But I know my balance is kaka. I’ve always fallen a lot and am just now realizing I’ve  probably had vestibular problems most of my life as with more knowledge I can connect the dots. Hope you are doing better than I. This is all very depressing and I really have to work at not getting too down, but I know it will end for all of us mainly because it has too.
❤️😍

@ladyd The first time they prescribed Betahistine (an antihistamine) which did nothing when I had the second episode at home and it required another ER visit.  The second ER dr looked at the chart from my first visit and did the same treatment that they did and then, upon my request, prescribed that med to have on hand in case I should have yet another episode (which I have not thankfully needed) and that is Valium.  I do not want to have to use it because I felt dopey for a full 24 hours after it was administered but it worked during both ER visits very well.  I am grateful to have it available and hope it will prevent another ride in an ambulance to the hospital.

May I ask which vaccine you were given?  Also, how many days after having the vaccine did the vertigo occur?

Thank you for your concern.  I hope you are doing better soon.  I talked with my naturopath yesterday and she suggested that I do not try to advance my second Pfizer dose sooner to let my body recover fully before having the second dose.  In Canada they initially did not have enough vaccines so they pushed the second dose to almost 4 months later.  Our supply has improved so they are now offering dates that are about a month sooner than originally booked for the second shot, but I will keep my August booking to try to allow my body to handle the second better this time.

@author8689 so despite 2 trips to ER and Valium you are still suffering now?

I am in the UK. I had the AstraZeneca vaccine. First shot I was a bit flu like but recovered after 7 days. Then had my second dose which I was told would be much better than the first dose and 4 days later I got my first dizzy spell and 2 weeks later was debilitated with daily on a boat type rocking head, nausea and anxiety. It’s been 5 weeks now but I’m inclined to believe it’s attacks of Labyrinthitis which should clear up by itself after 6 weeks or so. I’m going to finish this course of Betahistine and am taking ibuprofen daily and just resting as I don’t feel well enough to do anything else but keep cool and lay down. It’s awful! If this doesn’t work by the end of the course I will look at getting the supplements on pharmacists advice. Wish you well soon

@faddles Fortunately, my symptoms have gone away.  I had the first Moderna dose in March, then got dizzy in April and tested positive for Covid.  Fortunately my symptoms were mild and my family seemed o.k. after quarantining.  I got a Covid antibody test in May and it showed lots of antibodies for Covid from infection.  I just saw my doctor (of a prestigious NY hospital) who said he didn't think I needed the 2nd dose.  He thinks I have shingles though which I saw could be a side effect of the vaccine (although there supposedly isn't enough evidence to support it). As I mentioned in my previous post, he thinks Ivermectin is promising.

I posted a video of an interview with Dr. Pierre Kory and Bret Weinstein explaining Ivermectin and YouTube removed it.

This current video may not be up for long, but it interviews Dr. Robert Malone, inventor of the mRNA vaccine and an entrepreneur who is researching adverse reactions to the vaccine.

I am not going to get our teenager vaccinated after seeing this video.

Be well everyone and take good care.

@ladyd  I am so very sorry that you have had such a reaction to the vaccine.  I am not looking forward to my second shot at all.  I am planning on booking out of any and all commitments for a month afterwards so as to give myself enough leeway to recover fully.  The nurse practitioner at my dr's office said there was no connection to the vaccine.  She said it was likely just a result of being dehydrated from the flu-like symptoms I had experienced post vaccination, causing the crystals to break loose in my inner ear. I had been drinking fluids and it is unlikely to be dehydration and certainly not the second time.   However, I do believe there is a connection to the vaccination because there are others with similar stories.  My naturopath believes it is a result of the vaccination.  Neither of us are totally surprised because I have a history of my body over-reacting to flu vaccines and other illnesses (over active immune system.)  I have been very fortunate that it has only manifested itself twice since May 4th.  I tried the Epley maneuver 6 or 7 times at home the second time it happened before going to the ER, but it did nothing to help it out.  I just needed the meds to cut the symptoms it seems.

@isismadec I agree with you completely. I am not taking any chances again. Our lives are getting turned upside down because of this which is so frustrating because this is what we tried avoid in the first place, the suffering and doctors visits(if we were to catch Covid). I keep waiting for the acknowledgment that this is causing serious side effects...for someone to finally be transparent about this issue. Do they foresee to FDA approve this "vaccine" and keep blindly lying that it is "completely safe and effective"? And all of our symptoms will keep getting categorized as anxiety related?

@author8689 there’s much conflicting messaging from doctors at the moment some won’t accept it and others know it is! As I said before we knew from the trial data there would be side effects we were just hoping it wouldn’t be us that were affected.

I’ve had both doses now so too late for me but if I’m asked to take a booster at any stage I will decline. The more people that have it now the more data will come out about side effects and hopefully effective treatment for them but until then I’m out!

At the moment we can only try to control the symptoms and anxiety associated with this the best we can.

I will inform the group once I feel any change and what worked. This is so important to keep communication going with other people who know it’s the vaccine and not just anxiety! 🙄

Xx

@jenmast I have had a reaction from the shot too. Was running 10 miles once a week and working out consistently. Until it felt like I hit a wall first sensitivity to light, sinus pressure, and feeling extremely sluggish. Then I started to cramp up in my leg and calf specifically. Now I have spasms and tingling on occasion not as frequent as before and muscle tiredness. I was so worried that I went in for an MRI on my brain and the doctor ordered some blood tests. Thankfully everything came back fine but didn’t help solve my problems. Still not feeling myself and believe the shot is the reason any suggestions or ways to get back to normal from anybody? I’m taking vitamin b12 heavy dose, 2 vitamin D supplements, magnesium, vitamin c, zinc, and calcium. Sorry I have had some balance problems but nothing like some of the others in this chat so prayers to them. It seems like the only place to find actual side effects about this vaccine. I cannot even find the ingredients anywhere.

This vaccine sure seems to have an inordinately late amount of pitfalls associated with it. But most of the articles I've seen about incidence of side effects compared to those of other vaccines in the past seem to have a heavy slant of denial or possible exaggeration? Big agendas out there for those trying to get to a high rate of vaccination and also for those that have historically been squarely set against vaccination of any kind. I don't go for the theories at either extreme, but I agree that it appears that these COVID-19 vaccines have messed over an unusually high percentage of people. I'm sure done with Covid vaccination!

Yeah, the dwindling number of takers, in spite of propaganda about their safety (apparent at least to those of us that believe we've been injured by them) and in spite of greed-based "incentives" - you'd think would be very telling. And a lot of the bribes are lotteries! I already unknowingly took my chances, but I'd give my "prize" back in a heartbeat - Oh, if only I could!!! 😥

@ladyd Oh yes. There is no way what I have gone through was not a result of 'anxiety', although it certainly can cause anxiety to have it ongoing.  I feel like I have this threat following me, not knowing when the next episode of severe vertigo may strike.  I was not just a little bit of dizziness.  The room was spinning a 100 mph and every time I opened my eyes, I vomitted severely and uncontrollably.  I learned the second time that I could moderate the symptoms by looking only to the left since it was concentrated on the right side.  It is merely a coping mechanism and not a solution because I could not function in that manner.  It just allowed me to get downstairs for the EMS personnel to find me and allowed me to unlock the door for them the second time.  The first time, it was so severe I could not get off the floor without hurling violently.  This is not a little bit of 'anxiety' for sure.  The uncertainty of the malady causes great concern however and they need to address the issues so they can offer people remedies after the fact and warn people before taking it.  Informed consent is necessary. Obviously, it is happening with both the AZ vaccine and the Pfizer one and is not a minor side effect.

If I had a minor child there is no way I would ever consent to them receiving the vaccine.
