that’s crazy. But I know my balance is kaka. I’ve always fallen a lot and am just now realizing I’ve  probably had vestibular problems most of my life as with more knowledge I can connect the dots. Hope you are doing better than I. This is all very depressing and I really have to work at not getting too down, but I know it will end for all of us mainly because it has too.
❤️😍

Yeah, my balance has always been different than many other's. In new close environments I end up bruised up while my body goes through a learning curve of instructing my eyes, ears (vestibular), and brain where I am in space. And I've fallen in the gutter many times in my lifetime attempting to step off curbs.

Well, until I'm better enough to challenge myself again, as I know I must, I've figured out to move my eyes while keeping my head facing straight ahead. I've found that it's when I move my head that I embark on that vertigo/nystagmus roller coaster ride ...although at times it's also when I'm laying still in bed, too.

I'm a household unto myself at this time, and I don't want to be dependent on others for groceries or medication. So, I drove a circuitous route through neighborhoods today to pick up my med and a few frozen meals. I hope to feel a little better after the first couple of days of the 6 day Medrol taper.

Yes, I also have to keep giving myself motivational thoughts to dwell on! Hang in there team!! 😏👍🙏

@author8689 oh you poor thing. That sounds very severe vertigo. I’m so sorry to hear you’re in that state. I haven’t been quite that bad but I’m unable to do anything but sit or lie down all day with that underlying dread looming waiting for the next episode. I tried walking to the local shop earlier to buy my partner a birthday cake. As  I can’t drive I thought I’d try the 10 minute walk but my legs turned to jelly after I got out the garden gate and I didn’t feel safe so I went back home again. I agree these are far from minor side effects!

@wibadger My daughter found a CDC site, https://wonder.cdc.gov/Vaers.html and she was able to plug in the Lot number of the Johnson vaccine I received in March.  She found 97 reports of dizziness post vaccine dizziness from my Lot number.  Over 3000 reported for other Johnson lots. I received mine in March. Was a little tired next day but no other symptoms or reactions at the time.  About a month later, I started having short but noticeable episodes of my eyes going out of focus and my balance being off such as could not walk straight.  Have been checking sugar, bp, etc with no obvious causes.  They do not occur every day but have learned when I have one to not plan on driving.  Yesterday I had about 8 incidences during the day. Had taken Meclazine after first so apparently that did not help.  I’m scheduling an appt with inner ear doctors next.

It sure would be nice if they were transparent about what this vaccine does to your body the negative effects.   I cancelled my appointment twice only because the knowledge I had about mRNA and what it does plus the fact that this is a science experiment on a global level and they have absolutely no long term scientific data on these vaccines made me second guess putting this crap inside my body.  I finally decided against my better judgement (damned if you don't / damned if you do) to go ahead and get the shot since I am high risk with asthma and I am being forced to return to the office to work.  I have been totally isolated living by myself for a year and a half - only going out to buy food.- not even a day afterward I am experiencing adverse reactions.  And from reading what everyone is still going through weeks and months after I know now this is the worst thing I ever did and I kick myself.   I am 56 yrs old besides asthma I have a chronic neurological issue that none of the stupid doctors out there care to diagnose -("it's fibromyalgia" and they send you home - whatever)... all they did was keep me there 15 min after my shot then tell me to leave ( I stayed in the parking lot an extra half hour to be sure I had no reaction ) .. gave me no information sheet on followup care / symptoms or how to report any serious adverse effects  (IDIOTS) .. everything I had to look up myself online  (I feel so sorry for the elderly people with no resources).  This whole pandemic is the worst mismanaged affair ever (but that is another gripe) ... so the following day after my shot -- numbness in my arms, hands, legs and feet, and my face .. and dizziness.   So I go to ER and they triage me and I tell them I am having serious adverse effects from vaccine other than my BP and temp they don't check a thing -- make me sit there over an hour and no one even came over to check my condition in all that time -- one of the risks is bells palsy and they didn't even check me for this (time is of the essence if you ever get that - my mom had it and it can result in permanent facial paralysis) ... UNBELIEVABLE -- they were calling people in ahead of me with sore throats FFS... I was so disgusted I walked out with the help of my dad. So I have been laying in bed wondering how long this is going to last .... They can shove the 2nd dose where the sun doesn't shine I won't be putting any more of that crap in my body! I'll mask for the rest of my life and stay away from people thanks.

😖

@bobbyfiasco I was diagnosed with Vertigo a year ago, my husband was in the hospital, I went to ER and was told to take Meclazine and Alavert. It lasted about 24 hours.  Had no issues until I got the Johnson vaccine and dizziness started a month later. As I recall, I did not lose eye focus with the vertigo so I’m in the process of checking all I can and hoping to see an audiologist group that specializes in inner ear. Meclazine did nothing for me yesterday.  I continued to have periodic incidences. Today has been no problem. I’m hopeful only a short term problem.

@ladyd At least it has only happened two time and, in between, I have functioned normally.  It is a dread of 'if' the next episode happens and where I might be or when it might be.  I feel you are continually debilitated and that is worse for sure.  I just wish they would acknowledge the issue and not make you feel like it is imagined or made out to sound worse than it is.  We may be in the minority but even a 5% chance needs to be considered.

I can't begin to tell you how much better I feel mentally having read your post...some information below:

Labyrinthitis and vestibular neuritis usually clear up on their own without any complications. Your vertigo should get better within a few days. But some people continue to feel unsteady even after the initial spinning and dizziness have gone away. This can last a long time – weeks or even months.

I am sticking with this theory and know that we WILL ALL get better, even if it takes months...
