@baylor02 Thanks for your info! Six months before receiving the Moderna vaccine I had an episode one evening of sudden vertigo and nystagmus. I had heard of my friend's experience with BPPV and bumbled through trying to do the Epley maneuver from reading online instructions. I unwisely did it on one side, then directly proceeded to doing it for the other side, which is not recommended! I ran to the bathroom and vomited till I could not anymore, then crept back to bed with a continuing sensation of the room revolving around me, even with my eyes shut. I was able to sleep and felt better the next day, so I didn't get diagnosed for what had occurred. Fast forward 6+ months with no further episodes. Moderna vaccine with 2 days of common side effects, then suddenly I'm back to the severe vertigo and nystagmus. I watched an online video before trying the Epley again and didn't throw up this time. Again, I still had my symptoms but managed to get to sleep expecting to feel better in the morning like the last time. Wow, was I wrong! I googled vertigo and Covid vaccine and happily arrived at this site to be able to confirm my suspicion that just having the vaccine could be related. It's been since 3/3 that I got the Moderna - I had my more severe episodes at days 3&4 and a week later at days 10&11, but they come & go without a discernable reason or pattern. In between I have varying degrees of dizziness and nausea. Today I thought I might be really getting a lot better, then had a rougher day. So, I trying to be patient, actually cook something when I feel I can, but maybe it's several days later that I feel well enough to clean up the mess I made in the kitchen. So, I'm 66, healthy, normal weight, usually keeping away from my gallstones bothering me by eating a low fat diet, no need to use meds, unless you count dry eye drops, with low vital signs - BP 90/61, HR 60s, temp 97+, all of which I've been told are markers of good health. I took a low dose of thyroid supplement for about 30 years, then had to stop taking it about 10 years ago. Not sure why, but my thyroid levels shot up after 30 years, reduced med, shot up again a few years later, now my TSH/T3 levels have stayed normal without med. I'm usually active; wanting to get back to painting the inside of my house! I'm sure not used to laying around on the couch most of the day! But even though I progress and regress, I feel like I'm slowly improving - yay! I sure hope these crazy vaccine effects resolve for all of us as we soldier through this time! I was reading about a new Covid long-hauler clinic in my area and wished I could slip in to see their specialists. Maybe they'll have clinics for us too someday?
My mother was diagnosed with Mastoid Effusion or Mastoiditis. They saw the fluid near the mastoid bone on the MRI. Since then she has seen an ENT who stated that the fluid had cleared up and she should start PT for vestibular/inner ear issues. She has only gone to one introductory PT session, but is still very dizzy and nauseas. Going on 2 weeks now since the start of the vertigo, with little to no improvement. It's hard to see her suffer when before this vaccine she never had any vestibular issues!
Bradycardia, arrhythmia and very low BP, among with vertigo, nausea and tinnitus
@pdauro I’ve just had 1st dose of Pfizer vaccination. 4 days after intense dizziness last night although feels lessened slightly this morning and burning watery eyes. Waited forPfizer as didn’t want AZ vaccination due to side effects but now suffering with Pfizer.. hope it’s shortlived .. not sure about 2nd dose after reading posts.
@anneornina I too have mild burning and watering eyes.. vertigo felt great for 3 days after 1st vaccination then bam!
@hollyd I’m scared now after reading the prolonged symptoms following vaccination. I do suffer vertigo about 3x year usually but it’s usually over in a short time. I’ve had 1st Pfizer dose and day 4 bam vertigo eyes stinging and watering.. headache.. dizziness the worst though.. has anyone got over the symptoms??
I did end up having a weird reaction about 12 days after the first Moderna vaccine. My arm swelled up and developed a rash all over, down to below my elbow. Evidently this is called "Covid Arm," and is not considered serious. Now it's gone, and I'll get the next vaccine next week. No worsening vestibular issues thank goodness.
How are you feeling now? Have you talked with your doctor about the second vaccine? I know some reactions concern docs, and they will recommend against getting it. You have a lot on your plate and I understand not wanting to make things worse. Keep us updated.

i did the second vaccine the 4 of March. Live with constant hissing in the ear, some dizziness and headaches. I still was not able to get ENT doctor to see me. I take in consideration what this forum suggests, take supplements and ibuprofen
I got First Moderna February 4 and second March 5. My first bad vertigo attack happened 11 days after first vaccination then i had dizziness in the morning and hissing in my left ear. It is still there, dizziness lessened but my ear’s song is very consistent
i wish they (medical community) start paying attention to our complications helping us and future vaccinees
