@kim-h

Many Thanks Kim-h! Great to hear that you do much better now after 9 Months!!!

Yeah wih the antidepressiva could be the only way to get the head back to a bit of normality and let also get the anxiety out of the mind for most part of the day.

Right now it is 24/7.

Let's just see when the antidepressiva will get its positive effects on me. Mostly it takes 2 weeks.

Sharing my experience with different treatment protocols & my personal theory (based on lots & lots of reading) in case it helps someone out there. I still have bad mental health days here and there and when I do, I have found that information is my friend. I also see a lot of people commenting looking for answers or feedback on different treatment protocols, and I have tried them all, so here ya go:

I was vaccinated 4/22/21 with pfizer. Never got a second poke bc of symptoms that started 4 days after vaccination.

My primary symptoms are: MDDS type dizziness (on a boat feeling, seems to go away while in movement like driving a car), brain fog, spots in my vision, tinnitus, insomnia (wake up at 2 or 3 am every night), initially, I had GI issues that have now resolved

I have done an MRI of the brain (came back clean). I have done months of vestibular rehab (this did not help). I have gotten blood work done close to 20 times in the last 11 months (nothing consistent here or of real concern)

Here are the medicines regiments that I've tried:

I did the FLCC protocol (IVM + prednisone + fluvoxamine)

I did the covid long haulers protocol (maraviroc + pravastatin) (although I didn't give this one it's due because I was doing a weekly CBC test because of the black label warning on maraviroc and my Dr didn't like what he was seeing in the results so I stopped 2 weeks into this protocol)

I have done the supplements route (liposomal glutathione + quercetin + C + D + melatonin + several other things)

Nothing 'cured' me but some stuff helped the symptoms. I currently take type 1 & type 2 antihistamines every morning & night (Zyrtec & Pepcid ac) and I think it does help a little but its hard to say. I take melatonin at night to help battle insomnia (although I still wake up in the middle of the night, melatonin makes me drowsy and it helps me fall back asleep quicker). Prednisone helps with the symptoms but it's temporary, when you finish the cycle the symptoms return.

The last one is controversial but I do think it helps (ivermectin). The first time I took it for 5 days straight and it had a similar effect as the prednisone, where all my symptoms were gone but they returned when I stopped the ivermectin. I now take it every 3rd day. My anecdotal observation is that my symptoms are the worst on the days before ivermectin (meaning the days that are further from the last time I took it). I also take it for 2-3 days in a row when I get bad flair-ups.

I hope all this info helps.. Also, FWIW, I have read a lot about this and I am convinced that we have a version of long haul covid caused by the vaccine. If it makes you feel better, it seems to be a consensus from the studies that I've read that the antibody generation caused by the vaccine should be 15 months max. (So in theory, we shouldn't deal with this longer than 15 months and should have fewer and fewer symptoms as we approach that 15-month mark). I think the reason people have different timelines for recovery is the strength of that individual's immune system, the type of vaccine they received (ranked in strength: moderna, pfizer, AZ, J&J), if they have had a previous covid infection & gender (seems to be worse for women). This paragraph is purely a theory, I am not a scientist, I work in tech, and am college educated but I have no credentials here. Please do not reply arguing this theory, I don't really care what your theory is, no offense, just dropping this here in case it helps someone to have a theory that they like & gives them hope.

Lastly, I recommend meditation for anxiety. I had never tried it before getting vaccinated. I am a person who always dealt with stress by exercising. But meditation has helped me.

I wish you all luck and a speedy recovery.

SUGGESTION:

Is there anyone over here especially people who're 9-12 months or more in this gone through blood works for the antibodies????

Have the anti bodies diminished. Do you feel better now comparatively? I'm assuming as this shit clears from our system, we'd start feeling normal.

But that's just an assumption. We need data to conclude anything. Can people share their findings if they've done these tests and the ones who haven't done, could you pls do (of one can afford) so that we all get some idea of what's going on.

It'll help us get some idea on this.

@tone I had burning & icy burning sensations mostly. I had a numbness around my nose & top gum a couple of times but nothing else. I just took cetirizine antihistamine & ate kefir yoghurts. I have heard they are not good if on a low histamine diet but I think they helped my nausea. Everyone will find something works for one person but not another so I believe it’s all trial & error.

@medee I’m 8 months out and Ive only gotten the ANA and anti nuclear test and some titer test? Ana was positive , nuclear and all other test for Ra, Sjogren and others were negative. Titer was just a little up but ok. None of these showed up in my first 3 blood works . Only the last one done by Rheumatologist. Which these were done in January. It may be a good idea to run blood tests again. I might ask about the Antibody test . Thanks Dee.
hope you are doing ok today .

Anyone try melatonin  and Magnesium  for sleep ?

I take 5 to 10mg of melatonin for sleep...also, melatonin also has inflammatory properties - read the below...

https://www.10news.com/news/in-depth/in-depth-melatonin-helps-people-with-severe-covid-recover-how-about-long-haulers

Does it keep you asleep? I always wake up every  couple hours.

Thank you hope you doing better .

Most nights it keeps me asleep...If I do wake up at times, I am able to quickly fall back to sleep
