@sglerup I hope that you are still feeling OK. I have remained reluctant to get a booster.

@annasegreto

I received my Moderna booster one week ago. I was reluctant to get it because I had vertigo, tinnitus, head pressure and ear fullness from April to August after my second shot. Those four months were awful as I'm sure most here will understand. I still have the tinnitus pretty bad but everything else cleared up. The reason I decided to get the booster is because we recently had a huge outbreak of covid at the school where I work and several fully vaccinated people tested positive. They had received their second shots the same time as me and no one had gotten a booster yet. Anyway, so far so good. My arm was only slightly sore the next day, the same as my initial reaction to the first two shots. The vertigo and other symptoms started about a week and a half after my second dose so I'm somewhat anxious that it could happen again. Trying to stay positive and hope for the best, though!

How did it go since that time - are you still feeling better?  What booster did they end up giving you?

@tennyson77 All 3 were Moderna with the booster being the half dose on 11/15. I'm doing okay. I had 2 episodes last week that weren't fun. My normally low blood pressure shot up to a scary high and I had nausea, vertigo, and lightheadedness until it went back down a couple hours later. Related to the booster? I don't know, but the only other time that happened was 5 weeks after my 2nd dose and I went to the ER because I was driving and really thought I was having a heart attack. Could be I'm having panic attacks, which is something my mom started having when she was my age. The timing, though, is interesting. Other than that and this super annoying tinnitus, I feel okay. Much better than the 4 months after my 2nd dose.

@suzellefourie I think it is really hard for this dizziness and lightheadedness to stop.  I  had all 3 vaccines already, and feel the same dizziness as from beginning.  Doctors can't help me.  we are trapped they say either take vaccine or stay home forever.  Geez.

@chomer86 I feel the same way, everyday lightheadedness and dizziness which causes me anxiety which seems to make me more dizzy.  Doctor prescribing anti anxiety meds, but i will not take.  I believe  doctors don't know anything about this.

@elliefryer They don't seem to want to scrap the vaccine mandate, they keep saying that is only way out and if you don't have vaccines, you are so restricted in participating in life.  Very frustrating, we are trapped.

@jardelina Hello Iris. Three weeks after my first dose I caught a cold from one of my work colleagues. Sad thing is the dr stood at the door and talked to me. Tested for nothing diagnosed me according to symptoms. Said it was a cold. Only prescribed me antibiotics for when it got "worse". I went home empty handed. I had to self medicate. After two days of self medication I started coughing and decided to take the antibiotics. Two days before I finished the course my dizzyness was gone. Its still gone. I am due for my next dose this Saturday. What helped for my dizzynes in the meantime was telfast(Antihistamine) and the exercises. Looks like the antibiotics did the trick. I had a constant feeling of pressure in my ears. That is now also gone. If I get the same symptoms the second time I am going to ask the dr for antibiotics. He gave me Amoxil. Hope this helps. Good luck. Looks like Omicron is going to bring an end to the virus and the mandates.

@dizzyincanada I would guess it's vestibular neuritis. That's what it took them 2 months to decide for me. CT and MRI all looked normal, it wasn't BPPV, not Meniere's, not Labyrinthitis (no hearing loss), but a month of severe vertigo, and now I'm in my 5th month of recovery from subsequent balance and instability issues. I don't have any other underlying conditions, except for the fact that I am a Highly Sensitive Person with an insanely sensitive nervous system, and so the effects are probably more severe and longer lasting for someone like me. Yay.

I hope you can get to the bottom of this. My E.N.T. ordered specific vestibular tests, which showed clearly where the problems were in my inner ear canal, as well as many deficits that suggested a central lesion (not a tumor, just nerve damage). I'm getting better, but God, it's slow.

See if you can get your E.N.T. to order further vestibular testing. Good luck!

I finally decided to get the Moderna booster on Dec.22nd. I also decided to have the shot administered to my right arm rather than my my left arm since the vertigo and dizziness  was on my left side after second Moderna shot.. I am very happy to say that I felt only a clogged left ear with slight pain radiating to my temple and jaw for two days and that was it. No Vertigo or dizziness. A marked  difference from the second Moderna shot which resulted in vertigo and dizziness for over 2 and 1/2 months. Was it the fact that i got the shot on my right arm? I do not know, but hereafter, I will get all vaccines in my right arm.

Had my 2 bd dose of moderna april2021. Felt fine other than regular fatigue and sore arm however I started getting dizzy the end of July. I had also been caring for grandkids w Covid, vertigo lasted till October. Saw pt, ent 2 drs, no answers. I was put on amoxicillin for bone graft and 2 days in dizzy went away and figured it was an infection. But, it started again about 2 weeks ago. It’d come for a day, not bad then miss a day. But felt like it was there teasing to come back. I’ve been doing the deep breathing, hold breath and espy exercises pt showed me. But past week it’s been continuous vertigo from moment I get up . All day. Feel like I’m on a rocking boat and it’s affecting daily life. Retired but I still need to live! I don’t know what to do. I’ve rescheduled the booster shot 3 x because I’m afraid it will exacerbate dizziness. I want to be protected because I’m 67 and around unvaccinated grandkids etc. and truthfully who knows who has it and walks around w it! Supposed to get booster tomorrow but think I should cancel? Help! What do you think? I know people wo booster that got Covid bad cases, one got it but very mild. I’m afraid if I got Covid vertigo would get worse too as well as other possible problems. I have chronic pain hypothyroidism too.
