So glad I found this page. I had both pfizer vaccines, first one just sore arm afterwards. Second one, standard reported side effects, fever, fatigue and sore arm. A week later after my second vaccine woke up in the middle of the night thinking I was having a heart attack. That continued as well as dizziness and heavy head a few weeks later. Two months on dizziness and heavy head still there. Anxiety is through the roof. My doctor referred me to the cardiologist who I'm seeing next week. Blood tests and all other exams are clear. I do have vestibular problems but never this bad. Hope it goes away soon...

Have you been to the Cardio? Has anything showed up in your test?

What heart issues did you have?

@medee

hey hun. I finally got an ecg on friday. Have not heard anything from my Dr so i'm assuming nothing showed up ☹️ Still have chest pain so i don't know.

still no nerve test. Not sure what i have to do. Jump up and down and scream to get results. It's very frustrating. Said he was going to send me, and did ecg instead. Siiigh. Maybe next appointment.

Hi Dee, my appointment is next Tuesday. I have had palpitations, chest pains and shortness of breath. I've never had any issues with my heart before (or anyone in my family).

@rika33 hi Rika,

I also had episodes of derealization/depersonalization shortly after I got vaccinated. DP is the outcome of high anxiety and panic so your brain tries to disconnect from reality to protect itself which results in these feelings. I believe I drove myself into DP/DR because of my anxious thoughts about the pandemic and the vaccine because of my strange symptoms after taking it. I did extensive research into DP disorders and watched videos, read forums and it seemed to just make it worse. The more you think about it and worry yourself that you’ll never feel normal, the longer the feeling will linger in your mind. I would listen to calming audio books or go on a walk to help calm myself if I felt myself going into a panic attack which would usually result in that derealization feeling where everything is not real and I don’t feel like myself. The great thing about DP/DR is that it is not permanent and you will not feel like this forever. I agree that everything happening in this world right now does not necessarily help with my recovery but I’ve learned that stressing and being anxious about it only heightened the feeling. Try to hangout with friends, family, take a walk, exercise, go shopping, take a break from your phone. Talking to a therapist also helps immensely. They hear about this all the time. Everybody goes through these feelings at least once in their lifetime. Make sure to not research it or watch the news and just live in the moment. Anxiety makes you worry about the future and that will not help. You’ll soon start feeling that life is becoming normal again. I still have short episodes here and there but I have definitely progressed since I have not felt anxious and learned to stay positive no matter what I’m feeling or what’s going on around me. The trick is to accept the feeling, know it’s just your brain trying to protect you. These feelings will fade in time. I hope this helps or brings you some clarity! We are all here for each other just trying to find some answers and live our normal lives again😇🙏🏼 Blessings!

@jaytune i’m so glad someone has mentioned the symptoms of depersonalization/derealization AKA dissociation. about a week into the vaccination i was having this alot. random thoughts would plop into my mind without my permission about the clients i was helping at work and about myself. even at home things wouldn’t feel the same. i have Bipolar depression and severe anxiety and have had many panic attacks and dissociative episodes so i’m equipped now to handle them. but these episodes and anxiety that i’m dealing with now over the vaccine is on another level. they come full force and the feeling is so much different.

@hisrichess I totally feel you! I’ve always suffered with anxiety and mild panic attacks and I would smoke THC to calm myself but after I got the jab the anxiety skyrocketed to the point of DP/DR episodes that I’ve never experienced before. It was very troubling at first. But as time went on I feel like it’s gotten less and less and easier to deal with the anxiety of it all. I stopped smoking cold turkey because of this feeling too! It’s been hard because I’ve also felt slightly depressed over all the physical changes my body and mind has endured. But I know time is healing me. I’m still struggling with mild brain fog so I pray that starts to disappear soon too. It seems like the brain fog is kinda lingering each day so I’m really hoping in the next few months I’ll feel normal enough to smoke weed again. Thanks for your reply!😊

I am so sorry you are all having more anxiety after the vaccine.  I have been more anxious too, only because I have had tingling sensations throughout my body, along with sporadic mild pain throughout.  The tingling started 12 hours after my flu vaccine on November 1st and have continued.  It subsided a little when I received my Pfizer booster 8 days ago, but 5 hours after that I started getting the sporadic pains throughout, in addition to the tingling sensations.  Five days after, I had inflammation and heat behind my left eye on and off for a few days.  I ice it and it helps.  I go to a holistic doctor (MD) who gave me a post vaccine protocol, which I am following, which I am hoping is helping:

Fish Oil 1,000 mg twice daily (for inflammation), Nattokinase NOW brand 100 mg twice a day (to improve blood flow) and trying to drink 8 glasses of water daily.

I am waiting for my doctor to give me the name of a neurologist to see.  My extended family keeps trying to say that it should still be worth getting future vaccines, but I told them I am unsure at this point, even though I know the alternative is catch Covid and die, if I get a bad case of it.  If this continues, I may just take my chances, but I know that this creates a problem, since I may never see my family again (or have to wear masks for them).  I am just glad that I quit my store job in November of 2020, due to potential exposure from customers that improperly wore masks.

I concur and have new parathesia, dysesthesia, muscle twitching, and brain fog @ two weeks after my vaccinations, progressively for months.  I regret getting vaccinated but as an RN of over 22 years they were going to terminate all of us if we didn’t. I am still speechless by the lack of compassion and intelligent discussion from my superiors and the health care administrators.

I received my 2nd Pfizer shot on March 31st, a couple days later I started to feel dizzy, nauseous and my blood pressure was elevated. I have never had a problem with my blood pressure, a few days later I had pressure on the top of my head I thought my head was going to explode. Went to the emergency room, they thought I had a mini stroke, I did not. Went to an ENT and had extensive tests and they “thought” I had a damaged vestibular nerve from a virus. It finally went away only to return again. Now going to a inner ear specialist as no one knows what’s wrong

did you ever find the cause of the head pressure?

 Not really. They said possible fluid buildup from the inner ear virus. Really don’t have any definite answers

@gemma hi  yes I can walk,  finished all testing and they all said I must have ahead an inner ear virus, they wouldn’t blame it on the Covid shot because they don’t know enough. I feel I’m back to almost normal now
