My boyfriend had Pfizer 12th June. He suffered with dizziness and headaches, but they soon disappeared. About 3 weeks ago, he started experiencing tingling and twitching in his arms, legs, hands and feet, as well as light eye twitches. He's had a blood test, all OK and is waiting on a phone consultation with the musculoskeletal department. By chance I found this website and noticed how common the symptoms he was experiencing seemed to be after having Pfizer. He's due to have his 2nd on Tuesday, but is dubious in case it makes the twitching worse. Has anyone had the 2nd dose and noticed a worsening of symptoms? Very unsure of what to do

  • I’m so glad i found this forum, im glad to say I’m not alone in this. Two weeks after my first dose i started experiencing pain behind my eyes, days later it led to pins and needles on hands and feet, it has increased to my arms and legs, face and chest. I’m now experiencing numbness. I’ve been reading and my anxiety is sky high, reading how it can be symptoms of guillain barre syndrome. Has anyone experienced this and side effects have subsided?

Has anyone tried any anti anxiety meds and gotten some relief from the symptoms? I do feel mine are worse with anxiety and stress and wondering if I could get them to stop such bad flare ups from a sedative type medication.

On August 19th after receiving my second dose of Pfizer vaccine I had intense back pain with weakness in legs along with pins and needles in hands , feet with prickling sensation on thighs . Rocking motion sensation & went 3 times to ER . Sent home each time as they do not know what this is or have seen this . The worst is in the morning when I’m so dizzy & my head feels like the numbness is affected my head upon waking & my eyes hard to focus . I’ve been so worried & scared . The doctors at ER just say to find a neurologist Ive never been this weak or unwell it is good to hear the stories of recovery on this site.

@mbelle hello. How have you been doing? Are your symptoms still lessening?

@account6 I had tingling, numbness, buzzing all over my body, racing heart,  shortness of breath (from doing normal everyday things ), itching, elevated blood pressure approximately 3 weeks after my second Pfizer shot 4/27.  Most of my symptoms started to  subside between 2 and 3 months but I still had the nerve issues and itching. I saw a neurologist August 13th who found nothing out of ordinary and thought it was an adverse reaction to the vaccine that would eventually work its way out of my system. Since then the tingling is mostly gone and I am left with just itching.  I am at about 4 months post vaccine. I wanted to share this with you because you were interested in people who had adverse symptoms that are subsiding. I hope this can help with anxiety or any fears you may have and give you hope.  I am willing my thoughts to only expect good outcomes.  Nothing else is acceptable. Hang in there! ✌🏾

@dgingoglia yes.  Almost back to normal. Almost no tingling/buzzing anymore. Still itching though.  How are you feeling ?

@mbelle I’m almost 5 weeks in and still having bad burning, tingling, in my legs, arms, torso mainly at night. Sleeping is difficult and sleep deprivation seems to make my symptoms worse so it’s a vicious cycle.

so happy to hear how you are feeling. You give me so much hope!
