@twitch Hello TC
It has been 3 months now since my reaction started (1st Pfizer dose was fine; 2.5 weeks after Pfizer #2 it all started). 3 ER visits. Neurologist visit concludes this is likely Pfizer vaccine reaction (25 viles of blood later, MRI, EKG, EMG done). Some mild abnormalities showed up on nerve conduction test (nerve damage), and on MRI (lots of tiny white spots which is apparently common in healthy people). Repeat MRI ordered for 1-1.5 years now to ensure stable
Symptoms that are still here:
tingling in hands/feet/lower legs; muscle twitches on backs of thighs 1x/week; hand and feet cramping
Symptoms that are gone:
fatigue, brain fog, shortness of breath; increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, tingling in face/head/torso
Was waiting to report this reaction until it was gone, but not gone yet so reported it to Pfizer yesterday
@fiazzz Hi ksenia - re. Medical exemption for shot #2 in Canada. I am from Canada as well. My symptoms came after shot 2, so I cannot say. However when speaking to my Neurologist about a booster (whenever that comes), I was surprised that I was not viewed as an exemption (we pre-discussed the idea in general). You can see my symptoms in the post directly above. It is mandatory to be fully vaxed for my job, so ok for now, but the definition of fully-vaxed May change in future to include boosters - I’m scared about that.
I do know 1 person with similar symptoms after Pfizer shot #1; that person got Moderna die shot #2 without issue.
I forgot to mention in my post about that I now also have my hands/feet fall asleep 30-50x/day. Non pain, but very odd
@lmkk you are not crazy - it’s definitely real. I had the same feeling as you plus somehow “shame”. People look at you like you are an alien when you describe your symptoms because they don’t match anything in the textbooks….so it seems many look at you like you must be making something up. When I found this forum - I felt such relief.
@juliel I’m praying for you!!! Did you get tested for Lyme disease by chance?
@juliel that’s good. I’m praying for you!
I'm at 10 weeks post first pfizer and feeling about 95%. The only lingering symptom is a headache which seems to be settling. My biggest challenge now is deciding to get the seccond shot. I'm very scared but honestly don't think I have much choice. I will lose my job if I dont and will only be allowed to go to the supermarket and doctors. I am working with a naturopath and nutritionalist to ensure my immune system is optimal as that seems to be the consensus for my reaction. I am also hoping that if the symptoms return i wont get as anxious as I will recognise them and not stress about MS etc. i am looking at December to get my second. If anyone has gone on to have their second and been ok I'd love to hear from you 😀
@eileenwh did you have any burning sensation with your skin? I’m moving into that stage now
hi,,i'm spencer. i had my 1st shot in 1st week of may,,3 weeks later my hands were beet red and my middle nuckles were white,,went to the hospital,doc there said its prob from the vaccine as it dilates the blood vessels,,so i left it at that,,after the 2nd shot in mid august i started feeling tingling and numbness in my fingers,and my fingers felt slighty swollen,,still with the funny color on my nuckles,,about 3 weeks after 2nd shot i really started to get a funny buzzy vibration in my hands and forearms and my arms felt heavy,went to the docs again,,had all blood work done,,even for inflammation,all can back neg,,when i rub the skin on my hands and fingers the coloration looks odd,,now my feet have the same feelings as my hands,,its almost like when i tap my finger or foot on anything its like i feel a vibration,,i'm 3 months post 2nd shot,,still the same,,odd light headed feeling most of the times,,very tired as well most of the times,,haven't seen any other docs as i am sure this is from the vaccine as before the shot i was a very healthy person,,weight lift regularly,,did crossfit as well,,lean body,,not much fat mass,,so pretty healthy i think,,the finger swelling and buzzy numby feelings is getting a bit much now
@lalak hi Lauren our issues sound similar. I am in week 12 and it’s so discouraging when it hasn’t gone away, but yes, this forum is so helpful. I am sorry that it must be an extra struggle keeping up with a 1 year old. I get tearful often too because it’s overwhelming when there is so much to do and we feel so poorly. It’s interesting I was very stressed when I got my shot in July and wondered if that contributed, but it seems it would have settled down by now.
@eileenwh Hi Lee! Great to hear that you're feeling better! I too am dealing with a lingering headache. I've been prescribed amitriptyline which has knocked it back, but I'm still pretty much aware that it's still there in the background. Is your headache tension like and have you had any issues with eye strain?
Thanks Andy
received my first dose of Pfizer on the 6th of October. Tingling and numbness started the next day on my right leg. Calf and thighs on my right also felt heavy/stiff and hard to walk on. Shot was on my left.
A week after my first reaction..my tingling has moved up to my back and sometimes I feel it in my face.
Sad that we have all experiencing this and even after all this time still no information added on the vaccination site.
I have my second visit tomorrow as the first visit my leg was only affect and now I want to let them know about my back and face. Nothing was done after first visit..only that it should disappear after a week or so.
Public Health called me today and I filled in my report. Probably won’t be exempted though. So will have to get second one to keep my job 🙁
Will let you know how I feel.
