@dgingoglia I had my blood test after the vaccine and I have low vit D as well.
I have numbness/tingling in my limbs, pins and needles all over my body. 2 month after the vaccine and its not going away.
how are you feeling?
@floryeo also, did you have ANA and ANCA drawn? I believe they are two different things. Both indicate auto antibodies. I had a negative ANA but I’m curious if I need the ANCA drawn. I have a strong suspicion this is vasculitis and that can carry a positive ANCA result.
Have any of you been diagnosed with vasculitis or has it been an idea brought up in conversation with your doctors?
- I’m so glad I found this forum. I got my second shot Sept 23rd - almost 8 weeks out now. I had no problems with the first shot. Within 6 days of the second, I had extreme weakness, fatigue, chest tightness, tingling and electric sensations that were shot through my chest and shoulders and down my arms and felt like I was burning inside across my chest and down my arms. Also, I had the electric feelings and burning in legs from the knees down to my feet, crazy heart palpitations, crazy high blood pressure (never any previous bp issues) and insomnia - cannot stay asleep. This initial attack to me to the ER, cardiologist visits and lots of blood work. the end result now is is my heart is fine, chest is clear. The intense burning and electric symptoms started improving about a week ago but I still feel the burning on the soles of my feet and palms of my hands. Instead of intense electric feelings, I feel like I have gloves on - up to my shoulders and also like I have socks on - up to my knees. I have mood swings and intense bouts of fatigue and weakness. I did yoga everyday before this and still don’t have the energy to exercise at all. My provider ran additional blood tests and found everything to be normal except she found I have extremely high levels of the b vitamins. She tested B3, B6 and B-12. I stopped taking all supplements on Oct 18th. I did start improving about 2 weeks later. She told me vitamin B toxicity/overdose can be the cause of these symptoms. It all seems so coincidental and all doctors have told me it is not the vaccine but seemed awfully coincidental. An er doc had mentioned that I should check all the ingredients on the supplements that I take. Although I still have symptoms, I have had some relief from Vegas nerve exercises, qigong, tapping and CBD isolate to help me sleep. It can take up to 5 months to detox from vit. b although they are water soluble. I have looked at everything I take and the vitamin Bs are in many supplements including gummies and health promoting beverages. But this is weird cause the symptoms continue to be changing - as I now have pricking feelings on my face. The anxiety continues but at least is not as intense.
@jkro hi Jessie, dr tested ANCA negative.
It was one of the member here OZ said he was tested positive, so i ask my dr. He said they did test and is negative.
@floryeo oic. What did your doc say? Are they looking further into the result? From the research I have done ANA are auto antibodies in certain autoimmune disorders. ANCA can be autoimmune vasculitis I think 🤔. So what does your doc think is going on? My ANA was normal/ negative, but I haven’t had the ANCA. Are you still in the hospital? I hope you are doing well. Hang in there. My symptoms are still coming at times but are getting further apart for relapse.
When I first had this happen I felt so bad I had some really dark times. I completely understand how this experience can be difficult but find the positives. My kids have inspired me to fight through all of this madness and figure out what happened and to overcome the situation. Take care! I’m hoping for the best for all of us! I think it will get better with time too. Mine seems to be going better as time goes by.
@medee I really do think that staying calm, positive and distracting yourself from these feelings and also the thoughts about them really helps. I had a few bad days where it all seemed to flare up but I was overthinking everything and panicking that Im going to have some serious health issues etc as a result . Then I spoke to my Dr who was quite reassuring. She said all vaccines can cause nerve flare ups but these covid ones are a lot stronger and generate a stronger immune response. She also said nerve pain generally always goes away with time, some people may just take longer than others. It's now just a case of either trying out different meds that will ease the symptoms, or just riding it out till our bodies naturally settle everything down. Since I had the talk with my Dr my symptoms are still there but i notice them a lot less and I'm focusing on other stuff. Some days I don't notice them much at all and I can see certain body parts which used to have nerve pain have now gotten better. So I definitely believe we should all try to minimise our anxiety about this as much as we can.
I didnt have ear pain but I did experience some tinnitus type symptoms a few times but they were very mild and passed quickly.
My neuro prescribed me gabapentin as well and I took it for a few days but felt spaced out and not myself so I stopped it.
I think the best bet is to just keep believing that your body is healing and this will all go away soon!
Did you have a weird feeing in your head as well and ny sort of muscle weakness too?
I see that you've mentioned about your Dr and then Neuro. Just wanted to know if the nerve flare-up was said by the General Practitioner or the Neuro. If this is coming from the Neuro then it sounds like some relieving information.
Also did your Neuro do any tests on you?
Pls do use the QUOTE option while responding. You take care!
Hi much of what you say is true when you are distracted and doing things you seem to notice the pain less being calm and not being anxious helps as well I fine to . About the weird feeling in your head I found initially with the vaccine that it made me hyper active and wasn’t able to sleep properly having insomnia things have calmed down since but not quite They’re yours before the vaccine. I noticed also my blood pressure and heart rate we’re up and now I think it’s coming down again. It was me who mentioned the nerve pain pins and needles and burning sensations to my GP and br there yet before the vaccine. I noticed also my blood pressure and heart rate were up and now I think it’s coming down again. It was me who mentioned the nerve pain pins and needles and burning sensations to my GP And heart pounding sensation did a ECG and blood test came back normal but didn’t feel normal to me after the second opinion from another doctor he referred me to a neurologist but I can’t get in till early next year I am trying to maintain a healthy diet and rest hoping this condition will slowly go away I am about just over seven weeks from first Pfizer jab things are calming but not gone for people out there there is hope
So is it actually worth it to see a neurologist? It seems they are at least able to rule certain things out. I'm 99% sure the pins and needles, and numbness are caused by the vaccine, but I don't know if it's worth the several hundred dollar bill I'll be stuck with afterwards, for the Dr to not really know what's going on.
@jkro hi jessie, i lost my will power to live.
Can u describe to me yr symptoms.
3 weeks post Pfizer first dose.
I still have tingling and numbness on the sides of my body as well as across my torso.
I am reading online that for many this goes away in 6 to 8 weeks.
Any idea what is causing this or if it will stop?
Hi Bro, have u recovered? Or got better?

Ivermectin cured me 90%. I don't seem to be able to get rid of the last 10% of it though. I hope time does it.
