@jpgdubgmail-com thanks for this! I am working with a naturopath on a low histamine diet and healing the gut and detoxifying the liver. Also doing some recovery therapy like red light therapy and sauna. Hopefully I will eventually get rid of these lasting symptoms. It has been a wild ride.
Hello, I waited to feel better for some weeks at least before updating you all. I got my first and only Pfizer dose on August 29th. The worst moment was weeks 3 and 4. I really though it was the end. I got paresthesia, numbness in legs, arms and half of my face, burning sensation, internal vibration at night (the scariest thing ever), insomnia, tremors, stomach ache, what I would call waves of terror and doom (nothing to do with regular anxiety), ah I also have eyes floaters (getting a bit better). Starting from week 5 symptoms started to get better and better. I'm experiencing relapses but very very mild. I never went back to how I was feeling on week 3 and 4. This last month I was at 90%-95% all the time. Last week I was 100% for several days already and yesterday night I was feeling tingling in my legs again but very mild. Thanks to this forum I know it's going to take a while, but having already great days made me really hopeful. I'm eating super healthy and anti inflammatory food, I am just taking vitamin D and C at the moment. I moved back to my parents and I've been living like a retired person even if I am 36 😂 Trying to stay positive and surrounded by people that love, believe and support you is so important. I will write another update next month hoping to improve and be able to give you more good news and hope ❤ Sending love to you all.
How are you now? Hope you didn't have a relapse.
Do update us all.
Hi Dee, I am still good! No relapses!!! Just some minor tingling in my legs sometimes in the evening before going to sleep. I just had four days with no symptoms at all. I generally feel like my old self except for this little thing. ❤ I will keep you all updated!
Smiling ear to ear while reading this!😊 Hope you get rid of these tiny issues soon.🤍
I'm no where close to this but I hope I soon post a similar update on the forum. Right now just running through multiple tests to rule out all issues. Heart issue is the main worry for me.
Take care! Stay in touch. I hope you get an exemption from the vax.
Thank you so much Dee! Thinking about you and sending my best wishes your way! ❤
Hi there,
I wanted to share my experience for the last month, and what has seemed to help me a lot.
First off, I'm a (Dutch) 31 old male, works out approximately 5-6 times a week, barely drinks and concerning food keeps it to mostly vegetables and fish.
After struggling whether to take the vaccine or not for months, I decided a month ago I was fed up with the continuous testing, and they are working on a 2G model in The Netherlands, which means access to pretty much everthing is only granted with a QR-code. Testing would not have been an option.
Anyway, I got my vaccination - the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) about 4 weeks ago. Just had some flew-symptoms in the night after about 8 hours, which took about 1-2 hours maybe. I thought that was about it. But after 24 hours (the next day) a tingling-sensation started mostly in my feet and hands. After another day it was pretty much over my whole body. This also stressed me out - which probably did nothing but to worsen the situation - because I had been delaying the vaccine for months, because of possible side-effects. And here they were.
After a few days of not getting rid of the feeling I talked to my mom - who is knee deep into supplement intake, and alternative medicine. I have always had a critical stance towards these ways of treatment, but since my general practitioner already said she wasn't able to help, there's no harm in trying.
Since then I have amped up my general intake of supplements: Vitamines B(12), C & D, zinc, omega-3, magnesium, reservatrol, selenium and NAC. Concerning vitamin C I dose to max 8000 mg a day, and NAC 2 x per day (1 every 12 hours, don't mix with other supplements).
After about 2 weeks I almost didn't have any physical issues anymore, and decided this intake of vitamines was enough, and quit the NAC (because I just had cleared them anyway), and took down the intake of vitamin C but kept using the rest. I also felt good enough to have some glasses of alcohol again. After about 3-5 days the feeling was back again. And this not only got me stressed, but gave me a panic attack which I had never had. I was spooked.
Since I had quit NAC, I started using that again and made a deal with myself not to drink any alcohol anymore for the upcoming few months. Since 4 days I have been using NAC again, and amped up vitamin C + intake of the other supplements and now the feeling is of tingling is pretty much non-existent again.
I have been reading into some literature concerning the use of NAC & COVID, which seems to not explain, but does endorse the possible use of it in COVID-19-(vaccine) related issues:

And, in Layman's terms:
https://beyondthemountainwellness.com/blog/4-supplements-to-prepare-your-body-for-the-covid-vaccine
- "Glutathione acts as an important antioxidant in your body by combatting free radicals (molecules that can damage your body’s cells). Glutathione and NAC play an important role in many reactions in your body as they help you detox chemicals from drugs and pollutants as well as the ones your body creates naturally. Glutathione and NAC also help make DNA, support enzyme production and increase immune function. Although there is no thimerosal or other preservatives in the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, the oxidative load of the replication of the COVID 19 virus itself is enough to warrant detoxification support. There are also many studies confirming that the use of glutathione and NAC decrease the harmful symptoms of COVID 19 making it in your best interest to take these as soon as possible up until four weeks after your final vaccination."
I do want to make clear that although I think this has worked for me (and this is just anecdotal evidence in my case), it could have been something else which had done the job. But it's still worth a shot, which is why I wanted to share my story.
I wish everyone the best, and will post another update in a few weeks time.
Hi there! Did you ever find out what was going on? I have been experiencing symptoms similar to yours a month after having the vaccine. I’ve been having the symptoms for 2 months now. They seem be winding down some, but they are unsettling.
I have my first shot on September 9th. Pretty much started developing chest pains, dizziness and nausea the next day which persisted pretty much for the next 5 weeks until my next shot on October 19. No results from any blood tests except low ferritin. After next shot felt the same for a couple days but then on dat 10 started developing vertigo (like I am constantly rocking on a boat) and chest pains. A week later started getting pins and needles, pains in my joints and itchiness all over the skin. I am now 6 weeks post shot 2 of Pfizer and the itchiness is unbearable. I have tried vit D, Iron, NAC, ALA, Quercetin, Zinc. My symptoms seem to have changed and although dizziness is mainly gone the itchiness and pains in my body are unbearable and I feel like no antihistamine can stop the itching. Been to een neurologist and to the ER who send me a referral to the COVID Vaccine Adverse Event clinic (allergy/autoimmunity clinic here in Melbourne), but waitlist is till February. So far have done many bloodtests which only showed even halved ferritin (15) after second shot, and elevated ESR, doc seems not to care about this value. Done a 24 Hr holter, Ecg, echocardiogram, MRI, CT, which were all clear and are waiting on nerve conduction studies. However, after reading all your comments I feel we will not find out what is wrong with us medically and only time and anti-inflammatory diets will heal. Any tips for the itchiness? It’s like hell. I will not be getting a booster, and are hoping for an exemption. Will work with a naturopath on finding out how to deal with this problem, as my GP and specialists seem to be at their wits end.
I too have had that horrible itching. I had 1st Pfizer shot end of May. As soon as the needle went in my arm I had tingling and numbness from head to toe on whole left side. It still hadn't gone away completely 2 months later when the itching started. Nothing helped. It's been over 6 months now since the shot (never got the 2nd one). Tingling and numbness has come back in my hand and foot but the itching has improved a lot just recently. Without this forum to share our stories I don't know where else we would get support. Doctors don't seem to have any answers and the media is suppressing anything negative about these shots.
Glad to have found this forum! I got the first Moderna shot back in April. I almost instantly didn't feel right, although I thought some of that was just anxiousness about the shot. For several weeks I had ongoing feelings of "electric pulses" through my body, muscle twitches and racing heart. I went to the Dr. twice & she gave me beta blockers, which did help a bit...maybe just to easy my anxiety about it. I too feared I developed MS or ALS. My doctor seems to think this will go away on its own, although I'm not convinced anyone knows what this is! It's six months out and although I am definitely better, I still have ongoing muscle twitches. Not as bad as they were, and I tend to feel them only when I'm sitting still (which is annoying). I am also VERY sensitive to all medications....a half a childrens Benadryl will put me to sleep for 8 hours! Now I'm seeing news articles that Moderna has 3x the amount of medicine as Pfizer. I wish I knew that before getting the shot. I'm also discouraged because I am not considered "fully vaccinated", but know my body will not tolerate another shot.
Hi Everyone - Just an update. I got my first shot of Moderna in April and had lots of muscle twitches, racing heart, anxiety, etc. You can see my initial post above. I am finally able to say all of my symptoms have cleared up. I didn't get a 2nd dose and am lucky to have a doctor that supports that decision and she even helped me get a medical exemption for my job. I am wishing you all full & quick recoveries. I also hope there is some other vaccination options for us in the future. I am starting to feel a little "boxed out" of life because I am unable to produce a full vaccination record. Wishing you all the best into the new year.
thanks so much for sharing this story. I’ve searched everywhere and couldn’t find anything. I’m also in the NL and received the JJ jab two months ago and have been experiencing the exact same thing, with the exact same situation as you. I will try your suggestions - symptoms are getting somewhat better but I’m still frustrated, angry and concerned.
thank you for the post and information
@miguelgr hello! How it went?
I have very very similar situation but I have it even worse. All investigations are normal, doctors are trying to persuade me that it’s not due to vaccine but I know it is as it got even worse after the second shot. It’s been 7 months already when severe symptoms interfere with my life and I can’t do my everyday activities, I’m so lost. I visited so many doctors and wasted so much money. “Specialists” don’t give me any documental confirmation that I have complications after vaccination, I am just ignored when I try to report about my severe situation in any institution that is responsible for vaccination process. I’m 24 without any previous pathologies, I lost my health after getting vaccinated even though I’ve always been a pro-vaxer, now I’m in pain all the time. Government and doctors are agitating to get vaccinated but then just refuse to help. I went to the emergency department when it all started because I had severe pain in eyes, ears, head, I developed severe tinnitus, nausea, and started fainting really often, it was very hard to breathe because of muscle spasms and they wrote everything wrong in the anamnesis forging all facts I have mentioned.
Then it just switches to opoosite and my whole body is flaccid, then spasms come back again.
These are not all the symptoms I have, but I’m just too tired and upset to describe everything in detail.
I would be very thankful if anyone could share the experience, especially about if this nightmare had ended to someone.
@sandrasp Hi just wondered if the tingling for you has gone away. I had my second jab on 12 August and from the end of September I have had constant pins and needles in various body parts every single day and still happening now. Its driving me mad.
@jesica2021 Hi jus wondered you you are now with the tingling? I had my 2nd vaccine on 12 August and end of September the pins and needles started.
Hi!
I just started developing these symptoms and I’m freaking out.
I took my first pfizer shot on sunday. I was extremely anxious because I was raised by an extremely religious anti vaxxer mom who recently told me that if I would get it it would be the biggest betrayal for her.
I am 20 years old and I did it behind her back. I cannot talk to people about this because everyone knows I am a hypochondriac and they dont take me seriously. Last night, I woke up 8 times with my arms numb. In the morning the numbness went away I remained with only a subtle tingling feeling. I spent hours researching this and I have no hope.
Is there really nobody who only experienced it for a few days? Can someone give me a positive perspective? I have severe Generalized Anxiety disorder so I guess its the best combination.
I think a lot of us have anxiety instead of it being due to the vaccine? You've said yourself you suffer from GAD and also hypochondria (aka health anxiety).. I know you probably dont want to hear this (trust me I didn't either!!) but try to relax and accept the odd feelings as what they are (I'm guessing not painful?). Also maybe some anti anxiety meds (SSRI's) might help?
If it's any consolation I'm in the same boat as you and the harder I fight or try to control the buzzing (or numbness in your case), the worse it becomes.. it' s like telling a noisy neighbour to be quiet but each time they get noisier!) and today I am really struggling with it. Some days are good though so there is hope! (I've also had periods of weeks when it's completely disappeared so it does get better!)
These 2 sites explain anxiety buzzing/numbness:
https://www.anxietycentre.com/anxiety-disorders/symptoms/buzzing-feet-hands-toes-fingers/
https://www.news-medical.net/health/Health-Anxiety-Hypochondria-Symptoms.aspx
Let me know if this resembles your symptoms?
The symptoms described are somewhat similar to what I am experiencing. It can be hard to rationalize sometimes. I could write a thesis about covid related tingling after reading so much. Did you get both shots? If not, will this experience influence your decision?
@montydes I definitely have this buzzing vibration feeling. I’ve had so many tests and nothing has been found. I also have suffered from GAD most of my adult life. I’m going to try to focus on relaxation/meditation techniques, yoga, light exercise and see if I can get some relief.
