What is ACH giving?
ACH stands for Automated Clearing House. It is a secure electronic bank-to-bank transfer that allows you to donate directly from your checking or savings account rather than a credit or debit card.
Why give by ACH instead of credit card?
ACH is simple, dependable, and efficient. It is especially helpful for recurring giving, since bank account information does not expire the way credit cards do.
Also, ACH gifts usually come with lower processing fees than credit card donations, which means more of your gift goes directly to the vestibular community.
Is ACH secure?
Yes. ACH payments use secure banking networks that financial institutions rely on every day. Your information is processed through secure systems and handled according to established security standards.
How do I sign up?
Signing up is quick and straightforward.
To get started, you will typically need your:
- bank routing number
- bank account number
- billing information

- Select your donation amount
- Choose “Donate Once”, “Donate Monthly” or “Donate Annually”
- Select “Next”
- Enter your contact information, and choose your communication preferences
- Select “Next”
- Select the ACH tab
- Enter your bank information and choose whether to cover processing fees
- Select “Donate”
Can I make a one-time gift?
Yes. You can choose to make a single ACH donation if you prefer to give once rather than set up an ongoing contribution.
Can I set up recurring ACH donations?
Yes. ACH is a great option for monthly giving.
Recurring donations are processed automatically on the schedule you select, making it an easy way to provide ongoing support without needing to re-enter your information each time.
When will my donation be processed?
Most ACH donations are processed within 1 to 3 business days.
For recurring gifts, your donation will usually be withdrawn on the same date each month based on the schedule you selected when you signed up.
Will I receive a receipt?
Yes. You will receive a confirmation of your donation for your records. You will also receive an annual donation summary for tax purposes.
Can I change or cancel my ACH donation?
Absolutely. By logging in to VeDA’s secure portal, you can update your gift amount, change your bank account information, or cancel a recurring donation. Simply login and click “Donations” in the sidebar.
