Hi all. Does anyone know how many public messages a person has to post before they can send a private message?  I just tried to send a message to @jessm but wasn't allowed.

@j Hopefully they'll have some answers.  I saw my doctor again last week and he said the neurologist informed him that there had been a cancellation so I will hopefully be getting in to see her this week sometime.  I think the combo of B12, NAC, and alpha-lipoic acid is helping me quite a bit.  The pins-and-needles sensations are greatly reduced for me and a rarely feel the cool burning sensation on my skin anymore.  Finally able to get a reasonable amount of sleep each night.  The muscle weakness is still there however.  Having said that, I'm feeling energized and even hopeful for the first time in a long time thanks to the actions of the truckers.  Their protests seem to have actually started moving things in the right direction.  Hopefully that momentum continues although I suspect there will be some setbacks in the coming weeks once the government/media response solidifies and gets put into action.

Hope your symptoms start to abate.

Hey everyone. I’m Minty, 30/F/USA.

I had a looooot of hesitation about getting vaccinated just because of my hesitance on some of the lack of data for adverse effects. Prior to the vaccine my existing conditions are BPD, anxiety, and IBS. I ended up getting it because I was feeling social pressure I needed to for travel so got J&J. In my first day I had an incredible anxiety attack unlike other, the vaccine felt incredibly invasive in my body.

It’s been about a month now and I experiencing tingling/pins and needles, joint pain, tinnitus, and some heat flashes. My tingling and pins and needles are definitely the worst of it all, but the tinnitus is keeping me up at night.

I want to thank everyone for all the transparency, and give a bit of my thoughts/plans how I’m approaching this. I am privy to trying supplements first since most of my person medical team has a lot of doubt/assume it’s just me anxiety talking. I’ve gone ahead and gone with this Reddit users recommendation since he shares a lot of the same symptoms: ( https://www.reddit.com/r/covidlonghaulers/comments/nmiqlw/reducing_inflammation_in_the_body_for_symptom/ ) I highly recommend anyone to take a look. I do plan on updating my progress.

I think that for me, the biggest battle is the anxiety of the symptoms. Everyone’s concerns and pain is so valid. But for me, sometimes reading these stories while cathartic to know I’m not alone can just induce a LOT more anxiety.. and I encourage everyone here to do mindfulness and anxiety management on top of everything else. It’s the only thing keeping me afloat right now. I find that distracting myself and meditating have been helping me cope with this new pain and unwelcome feeling.

I wish everyone the best and make sure you are gentle with yourself! I’ll update with the glucosamine stuff in about a month. Sending love!

Hi everyone,

I am wondering if anyone has received a booster shot after suffering symptoms from your original vaccination?  I am 10 month post-vaccination and am still dealing with tingling/numbness/pain in my legs and feet and internal vibrations that will results in increased heart rate and blood pressure.  I have been afraid to get a booster due to worry about a serious flare (the first 3 months post-vaccine I could barely sleep due to bizarre intense adrenaline rushes).  Anyone with experience to report?  Did symptoms get worse or stay the same?

@kim-h

I'm finally having relief. Not sure which of these things helped (Ivermectin did not):

- My doctor noticed a drop in Nitric Oxide, which may contribute to the circulation/oxygenation issues that leave you/me with pins and needles feeling.  To address I've upped my nitrates through food (Arugula and Beets) and supplements (Berkeley Life). You can check your NO level using saliva test strips (Berkeley testing).

- B12 shot (I see you mentioned in your thread).  Slept through the night for the first time in a month the evening of the shot

- Gabapentin - Started 4 days ago.

I had been taking all of the Vitamin D, Zinc, Quercetin, Curcumin, etc., but none seem to have helped as much as the three above. I'm not referring or advising, just sharing what worked for me.  Please keep the thread going as we are all trying to figure this out together.

@jessm Okay. Thanks for reaching out and no I cannot reply to your private message either. It appears people have to post a certain number of public messages before a private one can be sent.

I read your posts yesterday. I feel for you and also pray for your full recovery, and for everyone's full recovery. It's so hard that people are going through this with more or less similar symptoms, and others with even more.

Are you taking any supplements? Are you still employed? Do you find enough time to rest? And also time for distractions?

@buzzgirl yes I am still employed for now. I managed to get an exemption due to my pericarditis. Then I asked my dr to extend it, I told him I have to return to work but couldn't get in to see the neuro again before then so he extended it by 6 weeks. I am taking vitamin D, C, B complex, magnesium and Imuni to boost my immune system. I do try to rest but I find it hard to turn my mind off. Anxiety has completely knocked me. It takes me a few weeks to get my mind right and then my symptoms go crazy again and my mind is back to square one. Its a horrible circle. I hope things don't last too long for you x

@buzzgirl

Hi, I’ve been reading this forum for weeks and it’s been encouraging to know I’m not alone. I’ve had numbness, tingling, aches, pains and dizziness since the second Pfizer vaccine four months ago. My ANA is positive but all other bloods have been normal. I’m fatigued and have had a nasty fall, and joint pain. A rheumatologist said my symptoms were better treated by a neurologist. The neurologist had ordered an MRI and nerve conduction tests and prescribed gabapentin. His verdict is it’s either fibromyalgia or neuropathy (but rule other conditions out first).
My GP in Australia gave me a temporary booster exemption, as it’s mandated for my work, but I’m too tired to work at the moment.
Has anyone had experience with gabapentin?

  1. I received my first dose of Sputnik in November 21. After 4 days, the muscles on the legs and shoulders began twitching. I immediately suspected something was wrong and started drinking vitamin B and Claritin supplements. The twitching lasted about 1.5 months, then they disappeared. But after that, small tingling began in the hands, fingers, under the knees on the bends of the elbows, in the tongue and sometimes around the lips. (similar to darsonval). I was at 2 neurologists, I was prescribed EMG, blood tests, CPK analysis, ultrasound of the lower extremities - everything is clean. I was prescribed alpha-lipoic acid droppers, vitamin B injections, a drug to improve blood microcirculation, and Gabapentin. None of this (except Gabapentin) caused improvement. Tingling remains 3 months after the vaccine. I was diagnosed with SFN. But there must be reasons for it? It doesn't start for no reason! I think in this situation it is necessary to prescribe glucocorticoids with a short course and there may be plasmophoresis.

@jessm Hi. Thats great that your doctor gave you another 6 weeks. I hope you are able to push it out further.

Have you tried NAC and alpha-lipoic? NAC is a powerful antioxidant
