@apnp23 it was me that suggested herpes outbreak, but herpes expert Terri Warren says prodrome symptoms don't last very long, while everyone here's symptoms have been going on for months. And because this, I've mentally eliminated hsv as a cause of all this.
Did acyclovir make your symptoms disappear? I also took acyclovir for 10 days but it didn't make much a difference, although the pins and needles felt a bit different
@apnp23 I too had the EBV tests. I too have antibodies. I didn’t even know I had mono at some point but apparently I did. I’m not sure how to interpret my results exactly but they said I have had the infection at some point. My VCA igG was 49.5 so high positive and my nuclear antigen an igG was 69.5 which is high positive, and my VCA Ivan was negative. So if you can make heads or tails of that let me know. From what I gather it means I have had the infection before but they don’t know when. I have developed a new symptom which is a tightness at the base of my throat or upper chest that comes and goes.
I have the same symptoms. Is there actually someone with a experience where it went away?
@tinglyin2021 I do think the acyclovir helped a little, but it is hard to tell because my symptoms will improve for a few days and then worsen even prior to the medication. So I am unsure if it really helped or was just part of the natural process over time. I have been experiencing tongue burning or tingling and that did seem to improve while on the acyclovir. Since EBV is part of the herpes family, sometimes it can affect the neurological system. I am not sure how it would compare to HSV or the timing of the symptoms, as you said which are typically in the prodromal period.
Those of you who had insomnia, how did you cope? This is the hardest thing to get through for me. I just can’t seem to get a decent amount of rest any night.
Have you had any better night's sleep? I told have insomnia that is unbearable and of course it makes my other symptoms worse.... When I nod off I get drowning sensations, palpitations, feeling like passing out, and panic ... I get about 4 hrs of sleep but usually can't fall asleep until 4am the past couple days..
I have been enduring exact same burning sensations and insomnia since my shots. It’s been 2 and a half months of frustrations and doctors visits and bills since. I actually thought I was going through menopause because of the symptoms. I’ve since been to the hospital, a neurologist and gyno. I am hopeful now that it is all vaccine related since seeing your comment. I’m interested to know if you’ve also seen any medical professionals since this all began. Thanks and hope you and I miraculously get better right away. I can’t function during the day with constant lack of sleep every single night.
Hi has your insomnia improved ?
Overall compared to people we all know, we see to be the only ones with this type of reaction. However on this forum there are enough of us, that our reactions are seemingly not all that rare. Has anyone come across any article/documentation recognizing what we are experiencing (aside from Functional neurological disorder)? If so, please post here. Are we being studied somewhere and we should be volunteering to help science evolve? I wish there was an explanation…or at least some answer to why us? It is genetic, is it blood type, is it chance. What is going on inside (inflammation? Spike proteins?). Are our kids safe to get their vaccines?
Hello,
I would like to share my symptoms, as I am scared to death. It all started 3 days after Pfizer shot, when I got up and went straight to the wall, as I was super unbalanced and felt dizzy for the rest of the day (first time in my life to experience balance issues). Nothing else happened until I started having nocturnal vertigo in september, and have had these attacks 3 or 4 times, once I threw up and was dizzy all day, other times just the spinning in bed for a minute or so and that's it.
But 3 nights ago I woke up suddenly with nausea and racing heart, numbness on face and arm, and very pale. I guess it was a panic attack. The last nights have been awful with anxiety, everytime I sense the tingling sensation I get a mild panic attack and I'm going crazy.
Does anybody relate to this?
Thanks....
Hi I’m ever great full that I’ve found this forum! I felt like I was alone. I am a 29 yr old who I thought was perfectly healthy, I had my Pfizer vaccine in May and the end of the week I was experiencing everything everyone is talking about sever tingling burning pins and needles pain in arms, hands etc. then started affecting my sleep, which I started acupuncture for. I’ve been pushed to take meds etc, and feel like no one is taking my seriously. I have a nerve test which they said was clear and mri on neck and shoulders which show bulging discs which are NOT compressing nerves . After being confused my doctors and led to believe having the second one would be safe I have done so. Prior to that it was finally getting better after months, now I’m not too sure if the vaccine triggered it to get worse again. But doctors have suggested it’s an issue with my muscles being too tight that’s causing the tingling which is now in my hands and feet and sometimes bottom of my back.
sorry about the long essay but it had taken over my year and my life. Waiting for a referral for physio. Has anyone had anything similar, that has resolved or had it as long as I have? Anyone been told anything similar? I just need some hope. Anyone found something that helps? My doctors are very unhelpful and very difficult to even get a phone call, no face to face here at the moment :/
Hi Summer,. I would like to know if your tingling on your head gone by now ?
I got head tingling on the night of the first dose of Pfizer on 10Jul. Oh day 5 I sent to see a GP. But nothing conclusive. I pushed my 2nd jab from 3rd week to 4th week and then to 6th week ( 21 Aug this Sunday).
Until now the tingling on my left scalp is still there. It has been changed in position but it is still on the left side close to ear.
I went to see GP two times and they arrange for Neurologist. I will be going for mri scan next week and I have done some standard Neuro related blood test includes iron and misc test.
I have pushed 2nd jab to 7th week to give me more time to decide while waiting for my MRI result and blood test result.
It has been cooking to 6 weeks. Please let me know your current situation so that I can have a reference. .I took Pfizer but you have taken moderna but I can't find head tingling sensation cases reported from Pfizer yet.
Hi, how are you feeling now? Did you go for the 2nd jab?
I took right now felt the tingling thing in my head but its been 1.5 minths post the jab. Please let me know how you feel.
Also did anything come up in your tests, MRI etc. And what did the Neuro say?
Di you the QUOTE option when you reply to the post. Take care.
I have had tingling throughout my body, but mostly both legs, feet, hands and face. If I don't have tingling I get muscle cramping in my calves. Today it's mostly cramping in both calves. I got my booster November 9th and the tingling and cramping started 3 days later. I spoke with my PCP and a nurse and they both are aware of people that had this side effect. I went to see my neurologist and he asked me a lot of questions, did some minor strength testing and tested me for neuropathy, but didn't feel it was necessary for any further testing. I would like at this point to get some answers by getting some testing done. My neurologist has only heard of one other person with these symptoms and they had covid at the time. Not sure what to do next! Do I have to demand testing at this point? Yesterday I had a good day but today my calves are cramping something terrible. Does this go away? Have you had any relief in your symptoms? Thank you to anyone who can give me a direction or advice on what to do.
