I was very happy to read you have such a supportive doctor! I'm trying to get a medical exemption too and I have an appointment with a neurologist on 11 January, so I was wondering if you could give me any advice on how you managed to persuade the doctor to give you one. Thanks so much for your help!

Christina

@apnp23 Yes the pins and needles stopped at about 6/7 months after the second shot. At about 8.5 months after 2nd shot I had to take a topical steroid and during that time the pins and needles came back but after stopping the steroid it has now gone away for the last 3 weeks. Apparently other medicines or illnesses can restart the pins and needles. The only thing left is my ears are still plugged. Not getting a booster!! This has been a long haul for something the medical community does not want to admit exists. It does get better.

@montydes

I've read your links and I've been having those buzzings lately (on top of other things).

I haven't had such anxiety and depression ever before. All of my symptoms have been new to me (post Pfizer), that is why they freak the hell out of me.

There is a rare Guillian Barre version, where the immune reaction doesn't attack the motor nerves, but the sensory ones only. This could happen because of an infection or vaccination too, and would explain even the uncontrollable anxiety symptoms too (I think).

The problem with accepting it as other than a reaction to the jab is that the numbers won't be honest. They will say we only had x number of GBS when in fact if all of us are somewhat a case of it then the number could be 10 times as high.

I can't meditate. My mind is too busy. All I ever needed was my creative work and running to cope. This poison took both away from me, now I am struggling, what a shocker.

I hope meditation works for you but I need my mobility and freedom back or it just won't do. They owe us answers.

But it's good you managed more than one shot 🙂 Initially it was so bad for me that I think another would completely destroy me. ☹

I wish for speedy recovery for us all this year!!!

My buzzing has returned, oddly it's in the other leg this time..  🙁 I seem to be dealing with it better though!

My neurologist was pretty adamant it wasn't GBS (which is very rare), but a "benign condition that will go away on it's own"

GBS Symptoms (I only have 1 of them as below)

The symptoms include:

  • Varying degrees of weakness or tingling sensations in the legs and hands, usually in an ascending or descending fashion YES
  • Spread of weakness and abnormal sensations to the upper body NO
  • Prickling, pins-and-needles sensations in the fingers, toes, ankles, or wrists NO
  • Inability to walk or climb stairs NO
  • Inability to maintain steadiness while walking NO
  • Inability to feel textures, heat, pain, and other sensations in the limbs NO
  • Loss of reflexes such as knee jerk NO
  • Difficulty in controlling bowel and bladder functions NO

I don't know your symptoms but in my case it's not GBS (thankfully)

I had tinnitus too. It wasn't nearly as bad as some ppl here have described theirs. It was mainly in my right ear. It's settled down now but flares up when I get a cold. My eyes are doing my head in...feels like they are on crack cocaine!

@dgingoglia Haven’t been on in awhile.  How are you feeling?  Now that I’ve recovered from all my symptoms I have no idea what to do going forward.  Terrified of the idea of getting a booster after my horrible reaction.

I am for the most part better but not 100%. I didn’t get the 2nd shot. And won’t. I’m hoping I have enough to fight covid well if I get the omicron variant which seems to be in all my close circles currently.

I still have some vibration feelings at times and tightness in arms, chest. Some leg pain and body aches. I almost feel as if I have developed fibromyalgia. I may try to get that diagnosis. But I am sleeping much better. Don’t have the burning numbness that I once did and have some days where I feel completely normal again. Thank goodness. But I do still feel a flare up if a slight cold or migraine comes on.

Glad to hear you are doing so much better.

@dgingoglia Although not 100% restored, I’m glad to hear a lot of it has improved.  My hope is that within time all of the symptoms completely vacate your body for full restoration.

Rec'd the 2nd Moderna vaccine in June 2021. The next day I had what I call "rubber legs", heavy and numb. I am an avid hiker but I could not walk two blocks for more than one week. Also I have had tingling and numbness in my head since the 2nd vaccine. Its january 2022 now and I have the numbness again today. Its an on and off symtom, mild today. NEVER had this numbness before the vaccine. I am hiking again but occasionally get weak legs which is also something i never experienced before. Scared to get the booster now

What are the issues with your eyes?

Mine is very itchy and painful. A lot of floaters flying ....super sensitive to light (photophobia), dimming vision...

I saw 3 eye doctors, said due to dry eyes ( i dont agreed), gel denegeration, retina degeneration. I told dr how could this be, i had yearly eye check up, the last i had was in Dec 20, and was perfect.

Did anyone got better with eye issues?
