@lmkk yes, there are serious cases. And honestly that’s what worries me. How do you know if it’s going to be a mild case? GBS can progress over several weeks. I ended up going to the ER a week ago. Had all kinds of testing done and everything checked out fine. I even had a spinal tap to check for high protein. That came back fine. However, only 50% of GBS cases show elevated protein in spinal fluid. I am convinced that’s what going on with me and I’m terrified it’s going to continue to process into something serious. Many people end up on ventilators with GBS. They need to monitor this more closely. I do know that I will not be getting a booster shot. I started having back pain today. Which scares the living crap out of me because that could mean things are getting worse. I hate being in this position so much.

@lalak my neurologist said my MRI was clear of MS or other nasties and my nerve test where they jolt you and test your nerve reaction (I’ve forgotten the name of the test) was fine. He also didn’t believe it was the vaccine causing my symptoms but had no answers to what was causing them. He basically said if the symptoms were gradually easing then move on and stop looking for answers. I feel like no one in the medical field has any idea about why the vaccine is causing these symptoms , its totally new territory.

@richardhall17 I’m sorry to hear you haven’t found any answers either! It’s very frustrating. My neurologist only used a toothpick to poke my hands and feet to test me. A waste. Then when he realized I was diagnosed years ago with anxiety he jumped right on that. I, as well, feel no one in the medical field knows and they are grasping at straws to explain that there’s no way it could be the vaccine.

I have been feeling a bit better as of this week but I’m so scared it’s going to come back like it always does! I’m hoping & praying it all goes away for us & we can move on! I really think about all of us on here & hope for the best!

  1.  Hi has your doctor done any test for you or referred you to a specialist? My doctor has referred me to a neurologist to see if I can find out anything unfortunately the earliest I could get an appointment was February of next year I was hoping earlier. I am about six weeks out from the first Pfizer vax  and still have the pins and needles but the burning back pain between the shoulders spine and lower back persist. I eat pretty healthy and look after myself. I am going tomorrow again to doctors to see about the  burningback pain still . From reading different post on different forms it seems like it’s a total mystery condition and the underlying reasons  how the vaccine caused it

@lmkk  Gee I thought your doctor might do more for you in getting test or seeing a specialist like a neurologist my doctor has referred me to one but the appointment isn’t until February of next year  going to see if I can get an earlier appointment is your pain in your back burning or like a muscular pain? Do your pins and needles move randomly all over your body? That’s what’s been happening with me since the first Pfizer vaccine I was due for the second one but have been granted an exemption until my medical condition has been investigated

@lmkk I was thinking maybe if I stopped BFing it would help me get better with not having the stress on my body to make food and heal. Just a theory. I have noticed there are at least 3-5 of us on this thread that are post partum. I wonder if there is anything to that? I had a feeling I should’ve left well enough alone but I was so scared for me or my baby to get Covid I gave in. I’m so ready to wake up from this nightmare. Speaking of, my initial symptoms were so much worse. I had nightmares so real feeling I would cry before bed because I didn’t want to go to sleep. I had this energy feeling surging through my body I can’t explain. My head felt like it had so much pressure it would burst. My ears hurt so bad but doctors always said they looked fine. They felt like there was immense pressure pushing on them from the inside. I had waves of electrical feelings comping over my body over and over. My skin felt cold under covers because my nerve endings in my skin were so sensitive. I also had paresthesias and numbness and tingling in all limbs and paresthesias even in my abdominal area. I would also get them on my right shoulder blade. I had tinnitus and had trouble hearing and concentrating. I had a low grade temp for 6-7 weeks straight during the day when I felt the worst and at night my temp would go back to normal. I had/have GI issues. My lasting symptoms are numbness in my feet, tinnitus sometimes, GI issues, paresthesia in my right shoulder blade, burning skin and lipomas that formed under my skin in my arms and legs.

I’m hoping for all of us we find some healing and peace. For me, I will continue to fight for justice on this and push for more research. I live in the United States and no one here seems to know anything either. I called a senator the other day. My personality is such that I don’t give up when I have an issue like this. I will not stop until I’m heard. Some states are mandating the vaccine in children to go to school. My children will not be getting these and I will homeschool them if I have to.

@jkro Hi Jessie,

I really don’t want to stop breastfeeding. I wanted to get vaccinated and breastfeed so the baby would be protected. My symptoms started exactly 2 weeks after my 2nd Pfizer shot. I noticed some tingling in my hands and my feet. Over the course of the next several days I noticed it was spreading. I have tingling in my chin, tip of my nose, my right shoulder blade. Pretty much everywhere. I also have had overwhelming fatigue. For 5 days after my second shot I had brain fog and head pressure. That finally went away and then all of these other symptoms started. Today I started with back pain. It’s so hard to sleep. I really believe I have Guillian Barre and it’s just going to get worse from here.

It looks like a lot of us took the Pfizer vaccine. Do any of you think if you had the Moderna for instance you would’ve had the same reaction? I know there are a few on here that took Moderna…..

@jkro I took moderna & initially thought my reaction was because the dosage is so much higher in it than pzifer. But seeing everyone on here I think it’s just all of them! I had wished so long I’d taken Pfizer or j&j but I’m seeing it across the boards.

Also, I’m postpartum like you & have wondered if that contributed to my issues.

Has anyone put time into this link or even saw it?

https://wiki.sequela.uk/en/home

There is a ton of information found on it. This is now my go to site for some answers to the issues I am having.

I have been on a steroid now going on day 5 of 6 day step down pack. I have seen some results from it. With the information I found on the site above, I am have some of the blood work done to check the inflammation still in my body.

@jkro i pretty much had same symptoms of yours, vertigi, dizziness, throbbing of temples like pulsating pain…si scarry.  Pain in legs, weak muscles. Last night I had a horrible sharp pain in my left back blade…I couldn’t lay down or sleep. I still feel it today when I take deep breaths. Numbness of my left side of head, numbness in legs and my carpa tunnel that was resolved after carpa tunnel surgery is hurting again.
so crazy. I am going to follow the I Recover protocol

@richardhall17 Hi Richard. That’s great news. Mine too has also gotten a lot better. All my symptoms seemed to have disappeared, but I’ve been left with an almost constant headache for the past 4-5weeks. If I could get it shifted I would almost be back to normality.

@carmenm, I'm so sorry you are going through this. I kind of understand. I had my second Pfizer vaccine on June 8, 2021 and a month after the vaccine i started feeling tingling, burning on my upper thighs and parts of my body, even my tongue. Then on August 19, 2021 i took a shower and omg when the water hit my skin i was in so much pain. Not because of temperature, it was merrily from the water spout hitting my skin. It's now November 8, 2021 and its gotten a bit better but when i'm stressed it flares up. Today is not a good day. I'm waiting to see a neurologist but God knows when i will get into to see one. I'm hoping by the end of this year and beginning of 2022. It's been bad her in Ontario Canada getting to see a doctor/specialist. I'm now going for a EMG Test and not sure what that will show. So disappointing. I wish to I didn't get the pfizer vaccine since i've been feeling this way. At first I thought maybe it's hormones since i'm 58 years old and that does happen. But who knows. I pray for you to feel better. Seeing others comments in some way knowing that others are going through similar symptoms since the vaccine has helped my anxiety as well. Not feeling alone. 🙂

@downunderguy

I have the same symptoms as you. I have tingling in random parts of my body. It’s not constant. I’ll have tingling on the bottom of my foot for a few seconds, then my arm, then my nose etc. it comes and goes very frequently throughout the day. I have no idea what’s going on with us. I really hope it goes away soon.
